Well, the 10pm crew nailed Atheon on normal in 90 minutes, and that was with Rud/Hmm who'd never done it before (I think).

You would think I'd never pressed the jump button before judging by tonight's raid...

Well managed to get two to fill the final spots and got finally killed Athenon at 11.50. Would have been done after the third wipe but glitches and player drops fucked us big time.

Such a tough battle but I discovered I'm superb at getting teleported and kicking oracle ass.

I got Atheons epilogue and chatterwhite as my drops. Shite impact on the auto rifle mind.

It's amazing at taking down Vex shields though and gets an oracle perk so I'd level it up for the raid. I'm also using it to do the thorn crucible bounty bit as its a primary void weapon and makes life a lot easier.

I'm at a bit of an impasse with my Warlock in that I cannot get her up to 29 no matter how hard I try. In the absence of raid gear drops, I reckon I'm gonna roll another character. I might continue to do so with my Hunter, get up level 20 and share some of the weapons I've levelled up already with my Warlock, see if I fare any better than I have been lately. I'd love to take part in harder raids as I love doing them, best fun I've had in an online game for ages, and 28 is just a tiny bit weak to be effective in a team IMO.

Yea bounties are key try log on in the day and have 5 available for you to complete and you get a fresh 5 at night.

I think it took me closer to 10-12 hrs for 20 but I've just made Raid status at 28 and a good weapon after 2days 6hrs!

The game is great though, just take one step at a time, you've got so much to look forward to such as the playlist strikes and weekly/daily missions, then the raid will top it all off :)

It's not going anywhere so there's no rush.

Yep, all good. Just need to get over this murderous hangover first, why do we do it to ourselves?!?!

A finer set of raid guardians has rarely been seen...or something. ;)

The saturday afternoon hard mode team had a hell of a time with the templar, we're at the very final part but had to call it a day for the moment. Bloody hell it's tough!! I can see it being easier with a full team of level 30s, so I'm definitely going to be hitting the raid on normal every week to try and get some other raid armour (I don't need the helmet as I have an exotic).

Need a break now though!! Four hours solid of that templar room really takes it out of you!!

Can you still get raid gear if you'd already completed it or do you have to wait for the weekly refresh?

I'll be we'll up for doing it again as I'm in need of some raid gauntlets to get to level 30.

Blimey sounds intense LeChuck!

I'm happy to form part of a weekly normal-difficulty raid group in a bid to help us all get to 30. Got two pieces of armour last night so just need some shoes and an exotic helmet now (bit annoying I have two exotic chest pieces, but never mind. Maybe I will just scrap them ;) ).

Just about to do the daily on 28 if anyone fancies jumping in to my game...

Didn't help that by the time I got out of the shields the Templar had about 2 seconds left to teleport! I'm gonna use the shards I earnt to get to 29 tonight though :)

Yeah, we almost had him too! Bazra - you can leave that little perch by the boss oracles when the relic holder announces he's about to take the shield out. Then quickly run back after you've dealt your damage. Just be wary of Harpies.

We can ignore the oracles during the Templar bit too, as long as the Relic holder is nearby to cleanse. Need to find a suitable hiding spot for that, though. Might be worth a shot at the next attempt.
