Does anyone think the dlc will then allow two exotics to be worn? I can see Warlocks are getting the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets on the new dlc. I wonder if full Ahamkara armour could be worn in time...

Yes it's possible, rumours of a level cap increase so it either has to be done by two exotics (although just two may not be enough) or another class of armour/weapons which give more light?

There is two tiers of raid gear, even shows on the app for the Vault of Glass but it doesn't drop (just like the tier 1 stuff really :hmm: )

I think that is probably how you get to 32 and IMO will probably require completing the raid(s) on hard over and over to get the armour drops.

That is if the level cap rumour is true of course.

Ha, did exactly the same double take regards the 10k bounty, was like wtf! Still need to do it mind, just don’t go near PvP normally.


Think it has to be the Suros for me also this week, very much looking forward to that. My legendary Hex Caster ARC auto rifle shall be being binned immediately. What is the Titan chest piece, worth considering at all? Only have 20 coins so has to be one or the other. Also got a nice Final Rest II legendary arc fusion rifle from drop the other day and am liking that a lot.


Thanks to Lyrical and Wavy last night who joined and we went through the weekly heroic and patrols/bounties afterwards, great stuff as ever. Wavy, I think your net dropped again at the end. I think they both put it about right when they called Destiny gaming crack, it just is. Had a sort of week off last week but have come back and I just can’t get enough and still keep thinking about it and what I want to do next sat here at work over a month out from release. :)

If there are any raids planned for today or tomorrow that have space on them then I'm available. Lvl 29 Titan.

I really really want to to do a raid tomorrow from 5.30pm EST / 10.30pm GMT and you're more than welcome. Only got as far as the vault before so not really too sure wtf I'm doing.

Anyone else up for this tomorrow, I know Wavy expressed an interest?

Also I didn't realise that you get a 25% boost on everything after completing the weekly nightfall so makes sense to do it asap after the reset on a Tues.

Do the Nightfall right after the weekly reset.

The Nightfall Strike is hellishly hard and you’ll need to be high level with lots of elemental weapons to tackle it, so skip this step if you’re not ready. If you can do it (ask your mate’s to nurse you!), then it’s absolutely your first priority, because it gives you a 25% bonus on all earnings from that point on. The weekly reset takes place on Tuesday morning, US time. Apart from the bonus, you have a very good chance to score an Exotic or Legendary.

Someone asked about the Armamentarium. It is decent. The heavy ammo perk is good (went up from about 224 on my machine gun to 310-ish, which is about another clip). Extra grenade is nice. I just...decided to level up Alpha Lupi instead.

Chatter white, that white chest with eagle crest, white bike? Fashion Destiny right there. Screw the useful perks, I want to look like a boss.

After whining to Comrade Al last night about how I've never picked up a legendary from a strike despite having probably played hundreds of the bloody things (well, it feels like hundreds!), I picked one up today. The picture on the engram looked like a sniper so I got dead excited because I really need a ledge sniper. Alas, it decoded into The Comedian shotgun. I also got a nice pair of legendary boots for leveling the gyppo. Not as nice as my raid boots, but they dismantled into three shards, so that was a pleasant surprise as I only expected two.

You sure its not from another faction? They can also give out stuff that's not their own. What's it called?

Thats the other problem, if I can only have one exotic I'd prefer a raid weapon that does elemental damage as a primary.

WHen coupled with a fully levelled Shadow Price I can't justify the coins on a Suros. I can wait another week :-)

By then the raid will have given me a lovely weapon, won't you raid!

Trust me, even if you get Atheons Epilogue you'll want something else for PVP, it's like firing a water pistol at other Guardians.

Anyone know if the Plasma Drive Xur is selling changes the colour of a Sparrow's light trail to blue?

Depends if you think that colour is blue or not really.

I was hoping Xur would have some helmets today, if only in engram form. Bit disappointed. Might have to grab that Suros though, but I got a hint in the last Bungie update that it may get nerfed.

It slows down the rate of fire, whilst increasing the damage per round. I had another AR that did that and, I may be wrong, but the increase in damage doesnt compensate for the slower rate of fire. Therefore damage per second is actually reduced. Someone tell me otherwise.

But you probably get better accuracy with the slower rate of fire?
