Just got a Hard Light on my Hunter from a Control game where I joined late (we also lost). Have to say its pretty bad in pvp. Takes far too many bullets to down anyone else who's using a decent scout rifle, Suros Regime, or a Shadow Price. It's not levelled up yet, but the impact is really terrible, a bit like a Dr Nope, so cant see it being too hot for either PvP or PvE. Will have to see whenever I get the chance to level it up I guess.

Yeah I got one from a legendary engram and it's not that great. I've levelled it up a bit so the stability is better but it's still too slow taking people down in pvp. I gave up in the end and have now switched to scout rifles in pvp and having lots more fun.

So, tomorrow Xur is back and I currently have 21 motes of light, what's the best way to get the last two that I need to buy an exotic engram off him?

Starting a new character on this last night made me remember how good this game feels levelling up to 20. There is a constant incentive bar at the bottom of the screen for you to aim at and its immensely satisfying each time you unlock a new upgrade and get that little bit more dangerous.

Your character feels so much more vulnerable just wandering around the open areas too - encounter an enemy a few levels above and sprint away or die in one shot. It makes the whole world feel more interesting, definitely something you lose at level 20 when its all about your gear and those open patrol areas are a stroll.

Slightly torn now as to whether or not I put more time in to my new character or level 28 Titan. I have about 27 coins for this weekend and a legendary warlock helmet in my locker, so assuming I can get to level 20 by Saturday I could get this new character to something like level 25/26 pretty quickly.

Anyway, in conclusion, still love playing this :)

Nah you need to wait on the weekly reset for different rewards unfortunately.

Glad you enjoyed it, surprised at how quick we did it, hard mode was...interesting. The biggest surprise was actually getting something more than shards/energy, that's what happens when you change your avatar for the lolz :P Thanks to everyone else as well, cracking Wednesday raid team as per.

Yeah thanks guys and we had a good run, completed it fairly quickly and that was with quite a few wipes. Most of us got decent stuff, when I went back to the tower the postmaster had Atheons Epilogue gun for me, I was shocked, my primary weapon slots were all full.

Will get it organised again for next week lads if yous can and want to join us again. Will start a list on Mon/Tues.

I'm similar, I can't really get my hunter any higher now without raid gear (that doesn't seem to drop for me :( I have raid gloves but nothing else after 3 further raids) So I started a new Titan and man it's a fun class to play in the crucible! I already had purple wellies and hat in my vault from engrams and bought the exotic chestpiece last weekend so when I got to 20 I shot to 24! I was still wearing green gloves though.

I have raid gauntlets and boots already, also have exotic helmet and chest which means if the raid gives me a helmet or chest I can get to 30 either way.

Last night I got gauntlets again :(

Does anybody know the arguments behind having the last bullet to hit a player get the kill in PvP? If someone does 90% damage and then a second just happens to catch the same target at the end they get the kill. I'm sure there are reasons for doing it that way but I'm interested to hear them as I'm convinced this is one of the things that makes the auto rifles so dominant in the Crucible. Whats the motivation of using a harder hitting but slower firing weapon (my personal preferred style) when someone with a very rapid fire peashooter has a much higher chance of landing the last killing round. I had a couple of really fun games last night with personal best scores and coming top or high up the leader boards, but even then on one game I had 12(!) assists and another it was 9....feels a bit off to me.

Raid took a shade over 90 minutes last night with Donut, Wavy, imp and a couple of others. Only my second run through. I got Praedyth's Revenge *again*, another Truth that got insta-scrapped, and a shotgun I will probably never use. No armour, which is all I really want now. And all shards, when I need energy. And a second Chatterwhite. Rad.

Thoughts that the game hated me quickly faded when in the hour that followed I got Suros Regime from a purple engram dropped by a Psion, and a sweet legendary pulse rifle from a blue. We're cool, Destiny. We're cool.

ph0rce helped me do the weekly heroic on 28 last night. Well actually, it was more like he did it, and I was basically his level 26 Titan medic. Was still good fun though, really need to farm more helium filaments so that I can level up and actually be more use from a damage point of view. It's just such a slog sometimes...

Picked up Shadow Price from an engram drop in the daily herioc on 28 which was nice. Gives me Super pox pulse, Proxima Scout and the Auto Shadow Price. I think Super Pox is the best all rounder the stability perk just makes it a monster at medium to long range. When coupled with the gunsligers stacked speed reloads from headshot kills and the guns fast reload on a kill reloading is pretty much instant.

Not really feeling Juu Juu, Thorn or Universal remote as of yet. I really need to have a crack at raid though, I'll be about tomorrow night from 8pm if anyone fancies a crack at the 26 or 28.
