I'd be up for raiding with you guys if you fancy it this week? Would just need to find 3 more willing participants (a mix of experience would be good given the patch to the boss set up now).

Did the weekly on 26 last night just two of us and it was a cakewalk, barely had any adds during the phygoth fight which was really odd? I did finally hit 28 so now feel raid ready. Plan on starting it tonight with non forum friends but will happily join in with others if there's spots coming up.

Quick question: Do you get rewards for each time you do the nightfall or just the first time? It actually seemed fairly simple with the cheesy method

Just once. There are no rewards listed once you complete it the first time on the destination screen.

Anyone up for joining us in the Vault of Glass tonight?

Hi mate, would be up for joining assuming PSN works this week! I have a level 26 hunter to get through the raid if you're okay with it - I won't do too well with relic carrying but can take decent weapons from my main so should do good enough damage.

there are two red circles that spawn which he tries to teleport to when the prompt appears. You have to stand in them until they turn white ( like the entrance) and that'll stop him moving and putting his shield up

It should be called Vault of Concrete, it's friggin tough !!

They really need to change the way you can reload your ammo from synthesis packs, it needs to happen in-game not in some stupid menu when you are in the heat of battle.

Yeah I know, we could stop him teleporting but that means we get overrun by minotaurs.

To coordinate killing them, and oracles and avoiding the boss we would waste even more dps.

If Soi farms the sentinels while we DPS the boss his shield will be down 90% of the time anyway. We should easily get him down.

My heavy machine gun is almost fully levelled and will help. Not sure what the rest of the team had as heavy weapons, but I know as main weapons most people were not up to 300 and that's kind of a priority. The raid is less about gear in terms of survival and more about damage output.

It helps to be level 28, but all that really gives you is armour in the raid. I'd rather be level 26 with a fully upgraded weapon than level 28 with a blue non upgraded weapon.

I'd still fucking kill for a purple rocket launcher! For some reason I can get any legendary rocket launchers.

Thanks for the games tonight, Uncle Mike and K - sorry I was half asleep and three-quarters crap. Wouldn't mind trying the weekly on 26 later in the week if you want to.

I've been making up with luck what I've lacked in skill recently - tonight's level 22 (!) weekly reward was the second legendary engram to decode into an exotic I've had in three nights, and again (theoretically) made for my class. I'd prefer a Crest of Alpha Lupi, but the Lucky Raspberry will do very nicely all the same. I think the Cryptarch must have taken a shine to me or summat.

Yeah, it was good! I did level up in the end, after I got some ascendant energy from the last strike, so I’m 27 now. Would be up for some more high level missions, as they’re presumably 20% easier now.

My primary is a scout rifle which only does 267 damage at the moment.

Shotgun is my secondary which does void damage but again only 248 at the moment (good for killing the oracles though, thanks to auto mode).

Heavy is pretty good on the last upgrade just need more ascendant energy

My biggest problem was running out of heavy ammo & then needing to find a place to hide to reload from the packs.

I'm hoping we have a good session on Thursday/Friday to finish it off.

Going forward though Raids are not for me, too much time commitment required to complete them in a week (wish they would reset the progress every two weeks)

I'll stick with the Daily Missions & Weekly Heroic/Nightfall Strikes.

Does anyone have a rock-solid explanation of how the level difference impacts on damage taken and damage done?

I have it in my head that a 1-level difference (player at 23, enemies at 24) means the player will do circa 25% less damage to the bad guys, and take circa 25% extra damage when they shoot him. And that this increases again for every level difference until 4 levels difference, at which point the player basically can't damage the enemy. But I'm not sure how it is if you're at a higher level, and I'm not sure I have it right anyway.

Don't give up yet, raids take a week to learn, a week to gear up and then you have them on farm.

Most people are clearing the raid in under 2 hours now. We are haut behind the curve, I expect us on Thursday to get to the final boss. If we are lucky even kill him.

Next week we will probably do what took an entire evening in 1 hour. In 3 weeks we will all have shiny new gear and laughing as we one shot everything.

Raids in any game are odd, as skill and tactical knowledge increase as does gear. This the raids get easier and easier. That's why there is a hard mode as well for when the raid becomes a joke as you find it to easy ;-)

In short stock with it.
