I must say, playing that 6 man raid with a bunch of raid noobs was some of the funnest gaming I've had for years. All absolute top guys too and seemed to be enjoying it as much as I was!

Pencilling in noon / 8pm Singapore time (clocks went back yday I believe?)

yep - we tried the raid last night with relatively new people.

Shouts of panic 'I'm marked, I'marked' followed by 'I need cleansing' or 'Cleanse me' have no place in video games. It sounded like the beauty counter in Selfridges on crack

We failed miserably in parts but actually enjoyed the session - if anyone is up for a retry once we level up a bit then well up for it (I like the word up - it seems quite a positive word)

Spent ages building Dead Orbit because I liked the look of their shader. Finally got it to level 3, rushed to the Postmaster... one mote of light.

I got given a Legendary rocket launcher, one shard and one ascendant energy. Possibly even something else as well.

Managed to solo the Nightfall yesterday while trying for fusion kills, suprisingly easy really with a little cheesing. Doubt tomorrows will be as straigthforward.


Spent ages building Dead Orbit because I liked the look of their shader. Finally got it to level 3, rushed to the Postmaster... one mote of light.

Yeah, New Monarchy also shafted me exactly the same. Fuckers.


Just worked out that I need 212 helium filaments to upgrade all my legendary armour. That's not even counting all of the ascendant material I'll need as well

XBone raid team are we all up for a final push tonight? I can be on from about 9:15.

I think we were all getting a bit tired at the end last night, we were certainly lacking the optimism that we had earlier in the evening. Hopefully starting fresh this evening will help.

Hoping we can do it tonight as after that I probably won't be able to make it back on in the evenings for a two weeks.

Raid with Lyrical et al last night started in amusing fashion - we cleared the first section in less than one minute and some of us didn't have anything to shoot!

Sound was screwy throughout for me. Wish they'd fix these issues before messing around with the final boss mechanic (which I think is better in its current state).

I've a vague idea in my head how to solo the big room and then tank fight. How do you solo / cheese the boss fight?

The room to the left of were you enter is pretty safe, mobs dont come in, as long as you avoid fire from sepkis, or you can run to the opposite end of the room to were you enter, on the left at the waters edge is a ledge. Hide there and pop out/shoot around the corner.

The dregs have a tendency to chuck grenades but they can be avoided :D

Opposite end to where you enter is a green Hive tunnel, you can go right in there for cover and mobs won't follow you. You can then pick them off at your leisure.

Stand at the end of the tunnel were the trains are, mobs don't follow you :)

Is the late night raid running this week? I hope so! Anyone?

People have been dropping out of PvP constantly this afternoon on PS4, I just got kicked to title screen then failed to load tower. Some things occurring.

Just go into the little room on the left as you enter the area and pick him off through the window. Don't go down the stairs though and watch out for grenades coming in or getting stuck on the window frame on the way out which happened to me before!

Also, I found out that after you kill the spider tank you can die in that area and not get kicked to orbit which allowed me to take my time and kill all those bastards with my fusion gun.
