With that spot there Spatular, it should be really easy as that person keeps the strike going if the other 2 get swamped and die. Nice find.

We wasted so much time last time we tried it too, as I saw a video showing some guys doing it from the room before the boss, which is total fail. I dunno if the guy doing the video was being a troll or whatever, but finding out afterwards it just wasted our time was quite annoying.

I'm up for giving it another crack tonight if you're both available. I have a good arc and solar machine gun that should help immensely, as well as an arc sniper rifle along with the Ice Breaker of course. One of us should camp that safe spot to snipe the mobs dropped by the ships, as well as keep the strike going in case of any trouble.

Sounds like a plan. I'll be on after 10.

Both Banjaxed and myself need the last part of the Thorn bounty done. We had a go, and found that we really need Arc damage weapons more than anything, as we had plenty of Solar damage but the knights didnt go down quick enough and we got swamped by them.

You apparently need to go into the room as those wizards and adds that come into the room dont spawn if you stay inside the boss room by the rocks near the back of the left side of the room. you only get the knights and other non-wizard spawns, until the ship comes in with the named wizard you need to kill of course.

You have to wait for the 3rd drop ship. What I did was run into the main room and take cover behind the pillar and rocks on the far left of the main room. Pick off the nights and acolytes. Then the drop ship will come with more knights. You have to kill those before the next drop ship comes.

If things got too hairy/ when the drop ship arrives, I would run back to the start room and hide. The wizards and knights that spawn there will de-spawn if you go a bit further back. When the coast is clear i try tp pick off the knights that have followed me, then run back to the rock/pillar on the far left and pick off the hangers on and wait for the next drop ship.

Repeat until the 3rd drop ship comes, but theres 3 wizards in that, So I ran back to the start room again and picked off the named wizard from there. Arc for knights, solar for wizards. If youve got the icebreaker then that very good.

:hat: Cheers. After comparing mine to yours, I don't understand how you're getting 1500 where I'm topping out at 1004. Our impact and attack ratings are the same.

Range and Stability aside, our guns are pretty much the same.I don't get it. :(

That is very odd, there aren't really any particularly unusual perks on mine. Could character class or armour affect the damage output in some way? I've not heard of that being the case, I'm a Titan, what are you?

So I just hit level 20 and got my first bit of light armour as well as completing my first one on the Strike Playlist.

What's the best course of action to progress now? Choose either crucible or strikes and just keep playing them whilst getting all the relevant bounties that you can?

Cheers to Ben and Spatular for the assist with Xylor. We were pretty much in control all the way through thanks to Spatular staying in the spot he posted the vid about. Was one very close call when we all wiped, I was very glad to have Radiance!! Pity Thorn is such a bad gun atm. Ben and I compared it to Lord a High Fixer and it was scary how outclassed it is. The buff it gets better be massive!!

Thorn bounty done for Banjaxed, Spatular and myself. Was quite hairy at one point when Spatular got killed when in the safe spot somehow, but we ressed in time fortunately.

All that effort, and we find that Lord High Fixer is ten times better

Ah well at least it'll get buffed along with Bad Juju. Wish they'd buff Super Good Advice as well though! Now that is one really really bad gun

We finished up with doing some Crucible Salvage games for the bounty and just dominated the whole time. Communication and teamwork just blew away the opposition, who always seemed to be one man down because we were just rinsing them the whole time.

Muk should do crucible games more often, the amount of times I lose matches because my team is full of really bad players (I'm talking 3 kills 15 deaths kind of stuff, and not bothering to capture anything) is just insane.

Just completely maxed out Gunslinger class, so switched my Hunter to Blade Dancer. I've only just got the Super, but HA HA HA I AM A BEYBLADE should be the official name. Think I'll try and max it too while piling up towards Level 30, mostly for the Crucible not-Blade-Dancer tears.

I've gone Blade Dancer on my hunter for the Crucible lolz, and found it to be weird. I seem to die when using the super, like I have no damage shield, and yet they do when they attack me, if that makes any sense. It may be because I'm low level and don't have the toughness perk in the talent tree or something, I dunno.

Its fun to play and I do quite well, but I do feel a hell of a lot more squishier than when I'm on my Titan it has to be said.

yeah, cheers guys! i only had one job and managed to fail at that  Banjaxed saved us with a self resurrection.

the blade dancer has a perk that gives health back for each kill later on that makes it much more powerful.

The raid yesterday was so much fun! I have a save @ the templer boss (where you use the relic) - could fire that up tonight if anyone is around? Midday UK time ish.

I'm going to the gym soon but I should be back for around then.

Clocks go back next week I think (hope so or I've been at work an hour early!). Also if the pattern follows then the weekly strikes nightfall this week will be Phogoth. Which I am not looking forward to!

I am going to use what I believe to be the best tactic for a strike like this, the mars nightfall strike with Valus Ta'aurc we used this tactic and it worked great.

Providing you get passed the waves of enemies at the start, have the full fireteam with full heavy ammo (of the correct damage arc, void or solar) clear the minions leaving him chained, make sure everyone has heavy ammo synthesis spare. Expel all rockets, synthesize instantly then repeat.

If he is still not dead, run and hide and pick him off with sniper ammo with the exact same strategy. I find the bosses in the nightfall strikes very easy to kill because of the damage buffs.
