Destiny: FIN

So I finally managed to do the Weekly Nightfall after previous disconnects, with help from Donut and WavyStretch, and as a reward got my first exotic weapon - Suros Regime, supposedly an auto rifle/scout rifle hybrid.

Makes it all worthwhile. Closing in on level 28 too, so just need to get stuck into the Raids now.

I used it for a fair while, the reasonably high damage coupled with the 11 capacity clip really made it worth it in my opinion.

Give it a go for a few games and see how you get on :)

Seconded. It's my current Handcannon and it eats heads with that 11-round mag.

Anyone done the last part of the thorn bounty with the not killing the chained up guy?

We had a go at it earlier and were killing loads of wizards and guys with swords while hiding in the room before the boss, but then ventured out to have a look what was going on and all got killed. Not sure if we need to head out to kill the smaller baddies that don't come and find us, or can we just keep hiding and the guy you need to kill will turn up eventually?

Here you go, Nate:

Just ingore the fact I'm using a Pocket Infinity to do it ;)

That's super useful man, thanks. Sunsinger's a good shout also. Will give that a go later on. The mobs do respawn but I think it's a long timer, so once I'm done I might just turn round and go back the other way. Cheers to you, and Chuck also.

You don't have to worry about dying anywhere outside of that first corridor that heads to the room of fuckery. Took me just under an hour to get the 200 kills. Now I've got another PI to level up :/

Both Banjaxed and myself need the last part of the Thorn bounty done. We had a go, and found that we really need Arc damage weapons more than anything, as we had plenty of Solar damage but the knights didnt go down quick enough and we got swamped by them.

You apparently need to go into the room as those wizards and adds that come into the room dont spawn if you stay inside the boss room by the rocks near the back of the left side of the room. you only get the knights and other non-wizard spawns, until the ship comes in with the named wizard you need to kill of course.

Not done it yet, but it's staying in that room that triggers the endless wizards, knights and purple thingies.

This guide may help. http://youtu.be/CXo7Jtl34gY

Maybe You, Ben and myself should party up tonight or tomorrow and give it a go since we all need it. Let me know what times suit.

Regarding the crucible:

If level advantages are disabled, then I presume all auto rifles do x amount of damage, all pulse rifles do y amount of damage etc?

Does a weapons upgrades still carry over, like a quicker reload upgrade would carry, but extra damage upgrade wouldn't?

With that spot there Spatular, it should be really easy as that person keeps the strike going if the other 2 get swamped and die. Nice find.

We wasted so much time last time we tried it too, as I saw a video showing some guys doing it from the room before the boss, which is total fail. I dunno if the guy doing the video was being a troll or whatever, but finding out afterwards it just wasted our time was quite annoying.

I'm up for giving it another crack tonight if you're both available. I have a good arc and solar machine gun that should help immensely, as well as an arc sniper rifle along with the Ice Breaker of course. One of us should camp that safe spot to snipe the mobs dropped by the ships, as well as keep the strike going in case of any trouble.
