Your character will transfer, but it's tied to your PSN ID. Couldn't you set up an account to buy stuff in your new region and play it on your old account? Any account on the console can play games of any other account, and I think Destiny has region-agnostic servers.

So buy a PS4, create a new PSN account in my current region, and just keep playing Destiny using my existing PS3 PSN ID? Will the new PS4 auto-download the character and its progress if I play the game using my existing PS3 PSN ID (using a new copy of Destiny on a new PS4 console)?

Yes it was awesome. Can we get the Xbox crew together again tonight to make some more progress? I can be available whenever.

Most fun I've had in a game in ages, lots of laughs had by all I think! The design of the raid is really really great. It's wonderful to go from not having any idea what is going on to becoming a co-ordinated team and then just nailing a section that 20mins before seemed impossible.

I 'should' be able to get on tonight from about 9:15 ish, will confirm when the wife gets back. As it's only a work day tomorrow I won't have to stop so early!

Obviously though the important person to confirm is gampaused as he has the check pointed saved.

I'm really enjoying the game in general but I've been 27 for ages and I have kit to make 29 I think but I need upgrades.

Is there an updated vid showing how to farm materials that people think is very helpful? Whilest I have tried to farm 'blind' I just can't be arsed doing it for the next God knows how many hours.

I have loads of shards so it's really spirit bloom etc I need.

I have done but I followed 2 and I didn't find one chest.

I want to know what fellow mukkers think is best.

I always do farming with patrol missions, makes it a bit more enjoyable when you have something else to do. Just go to an area & go round the edge of the map, entering every cave you see. You usually get 2 to 3 chests on a run.

My personal issue is shards/energy. There is a good Venus farming run that should net you plenty of bloom, it's basically the first one that comes up in a farming search.

What you need to be sure of is that someone else isn't also doing it as you might be checking in between the spawns and see nothing. If they are either wait and follow them, or go to orbit and start the patrol again,

Turned in 5 Bounties and got my first Exotic Bounty, went for Voice In The Wilderness cos was gonna search some chests on Mars anyway today and found the first part in the third chest I looked in. That bastard Xur not working on Sundays has put a bit of a delay on things mind you...don't want to google the next bit or find out what weapon you get, but can somebody tell me if this will require shit loads of crucible kills at some stage!?

What was your approach to the nightfall kills part of that bounty, Chuck? Have been chipping away at it the last few days but I keep getting bodied in the room with the train, and attempts to find a respawning mob off the beaten track have proven fruitless. Not even that sure I want the weapon to be honest, but I'd like my bounty slot back, especially after picking up the Invective one last night.

Just got my 2nd Pocket Infinty bounty and just mooched around for a bit, most internal areas that link each instance have level 28 enemies, but they don't respawn. Just got 36 Fusion kills in 15 minutes without having to deal with the ballache of actually doing the Nightfall mission itself - probably could've netted a few more kills in that first Hive corridor too.

edit - actually, 61 enemies in total, forgot about some areas. I'll upload a video shortly. Just make sure you switch to another weapon when you run out of secondary ammo / ammo packs to get some green ammo drops.

It's a great weapon too, don't ditch it! I've got Invective on my other character which now requires me to get a 25 K/d spread in Crucible D:

I'll deffo be on - no worries. However, I think the checkpoint is saved for anybody to carry on from where we left off, if they become a raid leader.

Can't wait!

Remember my waxing lyrical about the hand cannons, and how I added that The Regulator Mk.56 was arguably one of the best? I got the level 20 version of it from a blue drop this evening, and even only partially upgraded it does more damage per shot than my fully upgraded Lord High Fixer.

I just breezed through the daily heroic on lvl 28 using this pretty much exclusively. Damage topped out at 1166, compared to the 1004 of my Lord High Fixer. Now, it could be argued that the perks that come with my Lord High Fixer outweigh the extra damage - quick reload after a precision kill, explosive rounds, and kills decrease my grenade cooldown.

But for sheer stopping power? There's no contest. I'll post again once it's fully upgraded to see what the damage tops out at. I reckon only Hawkmoon will be comparable.

On a slightly different subject, I may have been hasty in my dismissal of the exotic machine gun, Super Good Advice. If you treat it like a heavy pulse/scout rifle (quick pulls of the trigger instead of holding down) then the recoil is more manageable, and makes it pretty fucking good.

I'll be on from about 9:15, hopefully everyone can make it, or at least we can fill the other spaces. Maybe with that guy who helped out at the beginning! He really was Legend
