shoot his legs

yes legs

Shoot an armoured leg,

his legs,

Ah, so we had the right idea, we're just shit at the game. Thought as much! We were getting crits (I assume that's what the yellow DMG indicators are) of ~400hp whenever we were sniping his legs but kept getting destroyed by endlessly respawning Captains and the occasional tank shell to the face.

If you have comms, try and call and focus on one leg at a time too.

Also it's best to split the group left side and right side to keep him turning and to minimise the risk of everyone dying at once.

Cheers. Hadn't thought of focusing on one leg, will try that next time. Most of our voice comms was either one of us shouting "OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE" so we could probably do with tightening that up a bit too.

If you zoom down the right hand side to the entrance to the tunnel and crouch peaking around the corner you are complete safe from the walker and very rarely will any enemies come up behind you - of course if one of your team goes down into the tunnel all bets are off as the splash damage will likely kill you. I find most people hang at the back so I can sit down the front working on the walkers legs and brain.

Looks like we've got six PS4 raid noobs eager to give it a go, then. Let me know if I've missed anybody:

SpagMasterSwift

Baring

gospvg

Dalvado

Rog

Billy Brown

If you guys are all still up for it, are you around this evening to have an initial crack at it? I probably won't be able to make it on until 10pm at the earliest but can be up relatively late.

Thanks for those who offered advice re: doing at least some research in terms of where chests are, etc. or having one experienced person in the team -- happy to go with either of those options depending on what everyone wants to do. The chests thing in particular makes sense I guess as it would be frustrating to battle through it all only to find out we've missed out on some easy extra gear or materials.

With Monday night being a shutout I doubt I'll get my new space socks until next week now (unless something drops for me I'm having to buy all my kit) - no way will I be any use as a lvl26 raid noob at the moment as much as I want to get stuck in...

This is the method our online gang consistently use. Works like a charm. And has done since the beta.

I've done that mission so many times now, loads for Queens "Kill Walkers' bounties for a cape I didn't level up in time to buy and the 'Don't Die on a Strike' bounty - I should hate this game by now :D

No worries -- it's probably a bit ambitious to try and get everyone organised at short notice anyway. Shall we aim for next week after the reset?

Any 360 Players around tomorrow night for some Daily/Weekly/Nightfall/ ?

Just got my Dead Orbit rank up to #2 and splashed my crucible marks on Legendary Armour so I'm al LVL 26 and ready to push on.

I might be - I have it on 360 and XBO and wouldn't mind doing those :)

I had no idea you were such a hand cannon enthusiast LeChuck!

I ended up buying a scout rifle (with a stupid name and a description involving trepanning) for my hunter last night after hovvering over The Devil You Know for a good while. I was seduced by the latest patch hype!

I wouldn't have been able to do tonight either. If it is going on next week then I can't go much further beyond 10 though.

I am a terrible person. Gone from moaning about getting no exotics to moaning about getting shit ones. Managed to get Thunderlord drop from the nightfall and it feels rubbish. Fires slow and doesn't seem to do that much damage. Maybe it needs levelling up.

Still working out what to do for a primary weapon. Got the legendaries. Hand cannon, pulse rifle and scout rifle, plus picked up Bad Juju exotic bounty as all signs are it is getting buffed soon. Hand cannon is fantastic but I hate the reload and short range sights, not really tried the pulse rifle and I am still not entirely convinced about scout rifles even with the patch. Autos are nerfed so I dunno what to try next.

If anyone's having trouble with The first big 'defend Dinklage' area of the Weekly/Nightfall Strike this week, try running down to the far end from where you come in (if you're looking at where the enemies spawn, it's the tunnel to the left of the terminal Dinkbot is hacking).

Enemies won't chase you down there so you get a bit of breathing room to pop off scout rifle and sniper shots. Some will hide round the corner though, so you will have to move forward pop your head round. As you're doing that, just watch each other for revives and keep a rocket or three spare for when the invisible bastards rush you.

Also, the Sepiks fight itself is a lot more doable if you duck in to the room left of the entrance and pop off shots from range. Have one up top, another one - your most durable team member - head a floor down to take out anything coming from underneath, and a third runner watching out for revives if you need em.

Used these tactics last night and it made it all much more manageable!

Bugger !! All three exotic bounty's are for guns I don't use Hand Cannon, Pulse Rifle & Shotgun.

Some also involve crucible play :(

The Crucible requirements for Juju aren't bad. I got them over a few two hour sessions and I'm by no means good at PvP. Be warned, Bad Juju is pretty shit.

The invisible snipers who hang around the back of that room are utter bastards.
