Yup, have icebreaker, will cheese it if needed! What's your PSN name?

BigBadBen_10 - Think I have you on my friend list if its WeavusMcStevus

You filthy 'sploiter, Ben! :blah:

Its the best thing ever for doing this weeks normal weekly, as the minotaurs have void shields, and I have a sniper of all 3 elements. Was how I realised it worked.

Yesterday evening A_A_A invited me, a level 26. I accepted and ended up right in the middle of the Archon Priest lvl 28 fight  I got shot by a Shank before I had a chance to spot the priest. It took us what, three tries or so? Luckily I had Ice Breaker and the common sense to hide under the metal platform. +3 coins get!

Hoping we can get on and finish the Vault tonight and the maintenance doesn't mess it all up. I know Liquid was part of the team but not sure of the others usernames on here (Rorford, you about?). I wont be on till 6/7pm EST at the earliest unfortunately.

Also can i just say the VoG is bloody amazing, so so different to the rest of the game and absolutely brilliant fun. Without saying too much for those yet to experience it but the labyrinth, the crazy jumping, all of it so far is fantastic. Cannot wait for more raids. :)

Where is the hiding spot for that? I helped A_A_A do the lvl 24 version yesterday, I had a look but could not see anywhere to hide.

As you come in, straight ahead, above, behind and to the right of where the priest pops out is a big metal platform that snipers come to stand on. Jump up and underneath there and hide in the far end taking pot shots.

I'd echo LeChucks thoughts re: the raid. Going in without having read any spoilers or seeing any videos made it feel like a proper event (especially when the doors opened up after the first section) but having one person in our team to guide us to the loot chests and through a few other bits definitely kept it enjoyable as opposed to bewildering.

Even with that help it took a solid chunk of time to actually complete. Admittedly this probably wasn't helped by my piss poor scout rifle not being levelled up and not really killing those supplicants very quickly. I'm definitely up for doing it again this weekend though, hopefully with a more powerful primary weapon in tow.

I need it done. Think Hardbattle needs it too, maybe others. Sniping is the way to win the whole thing, especially useful is the Ice Breaker Exotic if you have it. Whole thing is a cake walk to the last boss with that.

Speaking of Ice Breaker, there's a trick with it and any special weapon that I theorised would work, and when tested it does. If you have zero ammo for any special weapon simply equip the Ice Breaker, wait for it to regen to 6 bullets, then swap to any other special weapon. You should get at least 50% ammo with that swapped weapon. This can be repeated as many times as you like with no penalty, effectively giving you infinite special weapon ammo :)

Edit: The above trick should work with the Invective shotgun too if you've unlocked the perk on that to regenerate ammo.

Hmm, I wondered if that would be the case. Bit cheesy, but means you can fill up those weapons with specific damage.

You can be revived by a team mate on the nightfall though so i'd advise against soloing it as it'll be very annoying to get right to the end for some shank to send you back to orbit!

Yeah, seems you can also cheat the system by getting the fireteam leader to play safe and hang back and use them as a respawn point by having anyone who dies quit and rejoin the fireteam.

Yeah, we should do this not only on the boss but also on the dregs that are before the boss as they love to gank you while you try to take out the snipers. Its how we wiped last night, and it was quite late so we didn't have another go.

Anyone having problems logging in?

edit: maintenance again. At least, that is what it tells me when I try to access the Store. I hope for the day where the maintenance results in an improved service.

Just imagine how shit PSN would be if they didn't spend so much time maintaining it!

Do titans have a particular 'good' loadout in terms of skill tree? I know it will be down to personal preference but anyone found a particularly strong one for PvE and/or PvP? I can't decide what grenade or lift to equip etc

Cheers mate. Yeah BXB is like a graveyard at the moment, with a select bunch choosing to stick around and throw tantrums at one another. Place went downhill moons ago.

There is the story pal, albeit not the best. Complete that, then there will be bounties you can do to get more EXP.

You need to get to level 20 sharpish, the game will then change so that you can do strikes, raids etc (basically what we've been doing).

If you need help blitzing through the story send me an invite if I'm on.

ha that was a good epic battle last night. sorry i had no voice comms. glad we got there in the end though as those were some tasty rewards.

the game before that I had me jump into a 2man team just before the end of a slightly lower level archon priest battle - i killed one enemy right at the end and bagged myself a legendary scout rifle. boom! so lucky!

i'm starting to get this game more, and understand why the devs put those little cubby holes and cliff edges into the level geometry now... playing the high level strikes etc., is starting to show off the game design in a nice way i think.
