The only things worth getting from IB for me at present are the emblem and shader at rank 3, and the possibility of getting weapons and the legendary ship to drop after each match, which so far I have seen zero sign of (no other players have ever won a legendary anything during a match that I've seen).

I've gotten three variations of the Legendary hand cannon since hitting Rank 2. I disassembled one of them and only got Weapon Parts, though, so I'm guessing we won't be able to Shard the armour pieces, either.

Ah, nice to know that we don't have to spend marks on the stuff unless its a weapon we want then. He sells bugger all I want at present, but I want rank 3 for the shaders etc, as well as in case he sells something nice next time.

I just got Super Good Advice from the bounty - Why is it an exotic?!? Its worse than my Deviant Gravity legendary :huh:

It didn't take me long to get to vanguard rank 3 once I knew how best to get to rank 3 (stacking bounties as Moz pointed out, ignoring scan and scout missions entirely, weekly and daily missions etc), but that required me to concentrate all my activities and play time around it, and still took me 2 weeks' worth of post 20 work.

You do get Crucible rep and marks per game on top of any IB rep/items though.

You can wear any faction item to get rep for them, but you will only get rep for them and no other faction as a result, even during bounty turn ins. So un-equip it if you want rep for anything else

So this is what I was getting at - how many crucible marks for a win, and can I rep up with Dead Orbit more quickly?

Holy fuck that icebreaker is ridiculous. In a good way.

I love the way this game just couldn't give a fuck about balance.

Its annoying in the IB at present, people are wrecking everyone with Suros Regime, the Vex Mythoclast and shotguns that have stupid perks that increase the range so they can one shot you from the other side of the room or further.

I don't mind too much, (apart from that shotgun one) as its all control and not death match, although I have seen so many people on my team play it like it is death match, sometimes running past zones that are controlled by the enemy and there's no-one there to defend them :facepalm:

So this is what I was getting at - how many crucible marks for a win, and can I rep up with Dead Orbit more quickly?

Its 2 marks for a loss and 3 for a win, same as in the normal crucible. You only get 10 rep per loss and 25 per win in crucible, its far quicker doing patrol missions to be honest just for the rep.

The shotgun the guy had was the comedian, however it seemed to have the luckiest 2 perks ever for pvp - shot package; aiming reduces the spread of the shells, and range finder; aiming increases this weapons effective range. Effectively allowing the guy to run about one shotting anyone he saw.

Something I'm really enjoying is being able to say 'Xbox record that' to capture any memorable moments in the Crucible, if I'd had that for Halo 3 I would have such an awesome library of clips.

You don't have long to wait then.

I just need one coin for that sniper rifle. So I did a daily event on my main, then my warlock. I've done the weekly raid, so I thought I'd play normally. I got 8 engrams, 5 notes of light and 3 shards tonight.

But still no bloody coin! I do feel this game sometimes personally trolls me.

I'm almost level 28, when is a good time to start raising?

That weekly strike is hard, took us three attempts this evening. Great session this evening completed the main campaign & farmed a bit for materials on Mars/Earth.

What's the best way to get ascendant shards to upgrade the armour?

Got a nice purple scout rifle & managed to upgrade helm which took me to lvl26.
