Again destiny feels like the Halo team made an mmo. Decided to copy WOW, but only read about WOW no one on the team played it.

Agree with this, add a bit of Monster Hunter and Diablo into the mix. It almost feels like they played 5 mins of WoW, MH and Diablo then went off thinking they knew everything and ignored anything those games have learned or corrected over the years.

I loved this game at the start but the more I play as I reach end-game the more it started to grate and annoy me, I can barely launch it now, the only purple drop I got decrypting into mats did not help. if you got loot in your game it should be rewarding not a disappointment.

I agree 100% with Melon_Bread. There's not enough variety in the loot and the rep gains are disproportionate to the grind needed to get them, especially with some of the bounties being a pain to get in certain game modes like the Iron Banner. Why they locked it to Control I don't know. Getting 50 Headshots with an Assault Rifle sounds piss, but I'm finding it hard to get as you're generally in close quarters, so you may as well shotgun the fuckers in the face.

And as Mechamonkey said, everyone uses the same type of weapons. The Scout Rifle headshots from the Queen's Bounty were a pain in the chuff, because you'd more often than not be dead before you got 3 shots off.

I've played the shit out of the game and I think I've burned out on it, and the cracks are starting to show. Imo and all that, stick one wherever you want, but Bungie need to alter a lot before they notice significant drop off in people playing. Personally, I think because it doesn't have a subscription people will play beyond the initial month most MMOs get but I'm not sure how much longer.

And you're right about the loot, the proposed 'increase in likelihood of purple drops' after that patch simply has not happened.

They never said that did they? Just that engrams wouldn't decrypt to something worse that was implied by the colour.

The improvement in loot (drops and decryption) has been really obvious to me, that or i've been really lucky.

Conversely, I was showered with Legendary items pre-patch (mostly via blue engrams), since the patch I've had nothing.

I looked at the Bungie update again. It was simply about making the rewards equal to or better than the colour of the engram. Nothing about doling out more Legendary items.

Most of my purples have been bought. I'm sick to the back fucking teeth of mangala skins and hand cannons, and now I have a yellow fusion rifle bounty I've got no blue fusion rifles to break down.

I'm going to take a break for it I think*

Not legendary engrams, no, decoherent engrams.

There are definitely a lot more of them, and a good chance of them decrypting into legendaries.

Level 26 now. I've never had any purple drops and have only ever got blues from blues, the Legendary armour I have has all been bought from Shaxx.

As for Iron Banner, I will say I did have some of my most entertaining games on there, really close matches (2 inparticular were ridiculously close, 5 point differences). There's nothing more satisfying that being a couple of thousand points down only to make a comeback and steal the show.

Still loving this.

Jon and I were doing the weekly last night but it went to shit at the boss. Panda joined but our situation did not improve, did I hear there is some scaling depending on the number of players?

We got him down to quite low health a few times but ended up getting overrun :(

Jon still struggling with that fusion rifle?

I've yet to see a legendary emgram in the wild. I was handed one for hitting level 5 crypto and a blue one became a pair of purple boots.

I thought all blue emgrams were called decoherent engrams?

Had a weird glitch after completing the weekly heroic for the second time last night, instead of 2 possible pieces of loot I had 4. The other two players only had two and I didn't get anything on the additional one’s. For a minute I thought I was getting some kind of jackpot :(

Edit: Did a search, and seems there is no info on this yet that I can see. Also I doubt that anyone is rank 3 yet.

Also there'll be a Bungie weekly update sometime this week on why Iron Banner is so broken (as per the video posted earlier)

Not sure if its true, but I'm guessing it will be the case, as like Queen's Wrath, especially as the IB stuff only costs 10 marks.

Edit: apparently getting reputation rank 2 will allow legendary stuff to drop while doing Iron Banner. I'm not far off rank 2, so might give it a try.
