Finally found a legendary special weapon engram, turned out to be upgrade material. Any type of weapon would have been fine, really. Even the worst legendary is better than the blue shit I have now. But alas, I now have upgrade material I can not even use. Thanks.

What level vanguard rep are you? You get a present of a legendary weapon when you reach level 3 and each higher level. Also, from then on you can buy legendary weapons from the outfitter in the hanger area. Finally, if you keep plugging away at bounties you will sooner or later get the opportunity to obtain an exotic weapon.

I don't think it'll require as much commitment as Queen's Wrath. The Iron Banner bounties do tend to be harder than the regular Crucible ones but most players should be able to complete at least one or two each day, plus you get rep for finishing and winning matches.

Hitting Rank 1 can easily be done in a few games, at which point you unlock the first Shader and Emblem which each boost reputation gains by 10% when equipped. If you played with a few 'mukkers, meaning there was some semblance of actual teamwork, I'd guess you can hit Rank 3 in about 10 hours or less over the course of a week.

Having just managed to win a game, I can confirm you get 25 points per win. It takes 100 points to get to rank 1. Also, the 10,000 exp bounty (gets you 75 points) seems easily doable as you can get 2,000-2,500 exp per game.

Just tried the Iron Banner. It's everything I hate about vs multiplayer fps games. :lol:

Yeah must admit Iron Banner doesn't appeal in the slightest... Atleast that's one reputation I don't have to worry about leveling.

Hopefully if they bring back the Queens missions they will mix it up a bit next time. Felt like most people were done with it after a few nights play.

And no, at Vanguard Rank 2 I went for FCW only to regret it because I am now Rank 2 with both. I have all the sodding armour I need, give me some weapons.

The shooting is fun, the rest not so much. I can not shake the feeling I am being held in place by an external factor. For three weeks now I have been after Rare fusion rifles to dismantle. I have found 1, I need 10. I have never seen a vendor sell any Rare fusion rifle. At the very least, make a second way to obtain a rifle available to me. Fuck, have me spend 20k Glimmer on one. Have me trade 5 other rare weapons for 1 Rare fusion rifle. Anything to have me actively involved.

I refuse to spend a long time farming for a few bits of defense. I play the game and if I come across a spin metal or blossom then I'll get it.

Surely they can adopt a better system or even have the mobs on those planets drop the items. No one wants to waste their evening farming!

It's not like items are trade able either so once you've got a better item the old just gets trashed and thus losing all the upgrade mats.

Yeah cheers for popping on. That weekly proved to be quite tough. I had another try after the two of you left and got him down to the point where the stealth guys come, but I just couldn't keep them off me. Damn it! Maybe tomorrow.

No idea. I only use that password for PSN. I received an email at 2AM (Japan time) saying that my password had been changed and then another saying my sign-in ID had been changed. There's no link or option in the email to say that I didn't make the changes or to revert them so I have to wait until 10:30am GMT to call their customer support line (which also isn't free, joy).
There's also no online live chat support.

I've got about 20 quid credit in my PSN Wallet that I don't expect to be there if/when I get the account back.

Our evening was riddled with laggy glitches and odd deaths. :hmm:

Hopefully it'll be better tonight. We had some really weird issues last night, enemies magically rematerialising with full health after being killed, weird lag spikes where everything looks fine and suddenly two or more people fall down dead for no understandable reason. But we got a checkpoint at the last boss so we'll try it again tonight. And there's always this method...

Can you kick somebody from a fireteam if you are the leader? I only ask as I joined the Daily or Weekly Heroic last night with somebody who had friended me and, while I wasn't the star player by any means, I was at least using some heavy machine gun on the boss that you wake from the tomb and reviving the other two when I could - but got a message pop up saying something like "You've been removed from the fireteam"...

Still a little butthurt about it.

Yes the fireteam leader can kick you. Although it's possible you get that message if there was a connection problem.
