I'm going to play this for the first time tonight (PS4). Is there anything specific I should concentrate on doing?

Anyone else just starting out (or at a low level) who wants a teammate, send me an invite! :)

Not really - just have fun shooting aliens! It's worth hunting out the gold chests on Earth though, as they'll give you a leg up gear-wise. There's lots of good YouTube videos on where to find them.

I'm at level 26 (some upgrades away from 27) on the xbone and would be interested in doing a raid, although I'd need to plan it in because of family commitments.

Main issue I have is I don't think my weaponry is up to scratch at the moment to attempt the raid.

I'm a sliver away from level 27 and bought my final purple item last night, so it's just a case of focussing on material gathering now to reach a suitable level for the raid, and then choosing a luxury colourful cape when I get a few more motes of light.

What's necessary for the raid in terms of weaponry then? Will maxed out (242) blues not cut it?

OK - I want to do a raid. Perhaps tonight? Perhaps tomorrow? PS4, I'm level 26 and quite inept, but it'll be entertaining at least! If it happens, it'll have to be after 10pm as I finish work around 9.30pm. Anyone up for it? PSN is idlemichael - add me if you're interested!

The loot in this game still takes the piss, even after the patch - after getting no legendary gear for ages, I got a legendary helmet and an exotic helmet simultaneously. Good to see that it's taking the piss in the other direction, though. The exotic helmet is a bit weird, it looks like Havel's Set from Dark Souls, and doesn't really go with my armour, but it's r@re l00t and that's the important thing.

I've read that you really need to have maxed (or near maxed out) legendary weaponry. I believe there is a void modifier on as well so you really want to be rocking some tooled up void damage specials and heavies as well.

Currently I'm leveling up a legendary scout rifle which has a 275 damage rating at the moment (potentially 300). From a heavy/special point of view I only have a legendary machine gun, which isn't anywhere near levelled as I prefer using my sniper (blue maxed).

I've also been lead to believe that you really want someone with a maxed out legendary assualt rifle for part of the boss battle when you are being warped between places to take out something or other.

Anyway it's probably something that Moz could comment more on seeing as he's been through it.

EDIT: Obviously having said all that I suppose there is nothing to stop us trying if we can get six together, however far we get it will be a learning process and we might still pick up so 'sweet' loot from earlier chests!
