The cryptarch is being extremely generous tonight. 2 legendary weapons, good ones too, 2 armour, 2 coins and a shard all from blues. And a purple engram for a purple chest when both my titan and hunter have exotics, oh well shards.

Managed to get a full line of around eight people doing the conga at the tower by crouching and having jon/krypt follow me.

I ran the weekly strike solo all the way to the last boss with hardly any problems. But then couldn't deal with all the additional enemies as well the boss's mini gun and rocket combo. So I joined jonamok's fire team and marginally helped them defeat the boss. Phew. I can now continue with my exotic bounty by purchasing 50 special weapon ammo supplies. Where's the best place to farm glimmer?

I don't know if this has been posted before but I've found the Destinypedia iOS app really useful recently.

It's just the mobile interface for the wiki that we've probably all seen but it works well and I find it handy just grabbing my phone to check and exotic bounty, etc...

The bounty guy in the tower will give you them. I think it's a bit random when you get offered them but some people seem to think it's tied into how many bounties you have completed.

Yup, I've only had one Exotic Bounty in about 50hrs of play, level 26.

I'm 27 and a half, exotic helm and legendary armour, but everything is upgraded to the point of needing between 6-8 ascendant shards per upgrade now and...urgh, I just can't be arsed.

Also cryptarch rank 9 and he's never given me anything but greens and blues.

Easiest way to get 2 ascendant shards or energy each day is to do the daily story mission on Level 28.

Was good to have you aboard even as a silent partner ;-). I hate that effing boss though, and when it starts spawning those damned yellow psions it usually goes to shit in a hurry. FFNinja and I tried it earlier in the week with Banjaxed on a higher level and just couldn't beat it. But even on L22 (I think) last night it was a bloody challenge for L27 and L25 characters.

I'll second that. Thanks LiMuBai, I was just about getting to the end of my tether with that bullet sponge.

Also, I can't remember who it was who recommended the Shingen-E Auto Rifle for the crucible, but whoever it was you are completely right. I've just started giving it a try and the rate of fire vs recoil is ridiculous. Brilliant PvP weapon! Thanks for the tip off.

@Jomamok Having tried this several times last night on the higher level we found It always falls down after he moves end, and multiple waves of ads come along at different levels and from all corners. The juggler modifier doesn't help either!

Finally got to vanguard rank 3... Have 150 odd marks and don't know whether to get boots and gloves so I've got a full set of legendary armour or go for a legendary primary... If the weapon is the advice then which one? (I love auto rifles)
