Yeah the Queens Guard thing is weird. The only people who'd want to do it all are those with no legendary helm/chest, but then its level 24 so those people probably cant do it without someone higher level to help them anyway :huh:

The only reason to do them otherwise was to shard the purples as there's not many other ways to actually get the shards, and we need those to level up our armour! The rep vendor has blues and a few cosmetics, and that's it. No legendary gear other than class item. The event is kind of weak now.

Don't forget though that when you reach level 3 rep at all the other factions you're gifted a legendary weapon. Maybe the queen will too? I'll let you know when I get there!

Seriously, you can't get ascendant materials from Legendaries anymore? What a load of shit. The only other reliable way I know of to get them are the patrol events, and hanging around waiting for them is hardly fun, especially when you consider the sheer number of materials you need to upgrade all your gear.

It booted both people in my fireteam, but left me in the tower at first. Kept showing them as online in the tower with me on my friends list, so I logged out, then tried to log in again and got centipede, but then it let me in and I've not had any problems since (touch wood).

You can also hover over the icons on the mission select and or tells you the same info in game :)

Yeah, normally you can, but the queens wrath missions only have the one icon on the mission select. When you get in game it adds 2 more, but you cant see what they do.

Thanks for the help tonight chaps, did five missions with the good folk of muk and got a couple of queens bits, lots of duplicates though.

I am very jealous of people's awesome weapons, I feel like I'm using a peashooter most the time

Had a lot of audio issues tonight only being able to hear one person in the fireteam.

So, what is the fastest way to grind vanguard marks? With both Queens Bounty helmet and chest armour nabbed, and legendary boots purchased with everything I had from the last 25 hours play, and never likely to get a legendary gloves drop, I likely need to go shopping for them. And it looks like I need more than 100 marks (only have 16 left) to buy anything good from Gina Torres. That's a long old grind doing 1 hour strikes for two or three marks at a time...

I bet you weren't thanking me when I joined your game earlier (might have been Curtis's), I was straight in the door from work and wanted to shoot/punch things!

I was completely useless until I finally charged my super and stuck four fusion grenades on the boss's face and killed him in about 5 seconds :lol:

I did that one solo last night, it definitely scales as it felt much less hectic on my own, getting there was more of a struggle solo than the boss itself.

Had such a good night on this tonight, me and a couple of mates did the daily heroic, weekly heroic, a couple of queen bounty missions and wound down with an hour on the moon collecting filaments for our armour upgrades with beacon missions thrown in for extra reputation. I made vanguard rank 3 just before I logged off and was rewarded with a rather nice legendary pulse rifle.

There's still so many ways I can think to waste away evenings in Destiny, my warlock feels fairly complete unless I want to raid, but I have a level 20 titan that I absolutely love playing, so I might start gathering some light for them too.

Mix it up, do a strike (under half an hour in a decent fireteam), do the daily heroic, participate in an event (2 for completion and another 3 for daily gold reward, or similar)... they soon add up.
