I'm ambling through at a similar pace to you as my gaming time is limited at the moment. I've just hit 15 and unlocked Mars.

I'll likely play a little tonight but doubt I'll be too far ahead if you come the weekend. Would certainly be up for a Strike or two if you're around in the evenings.

Excellent. Add me on PSN mate and hopefully we can get something going over the weekend (when I'm not painting the bloody house!).

I have an annoying exotic bounty - I need to salvage 10 rare fusion rifles.

Does the game give me blue fusion rifles?

Does it fuck :angry:

Oh same. I have had one, I was getting the daily before when I was completing my element set, it kept giving me void/arc when I needed fire. Now I don't get any.

No problem at all, the challenge was good !

I was using my void sniper and grenade to get there shields down and he was using Solar, my issue was ammo I had none and no ammo packs either. We had a good run at one point but ended in disaster as I had no shield to aid revives.

Maybe we can give it another try tonight? We can load up on ammo packs before we go in.

Could use some help doing Queens Bounty missions later if anyones around (PS4), only lvl 23 so its a bit tough so far.

I've got 3 mission tokens I'll be using in a bit. Keep an eye out for me online.

Maybe we can give it another try tonight? We can load up on ammo packs before we go in.

What was that Lv28 mission you were attempting solo and mic-less, yesterday? Was it the Nightfall Strike?

It was the weekly at lvl28. In the end I soloed it to the boss, then tried to enlist the help of Barry and his mate. We weren't doing terribly but I had to bail out so my wife could watch some people make some cakes. Several people dropped in and out of that one!

On that first bit you have to shoot the servitors and ignore everything else. The servitors are buffing/healing the guys around them.

Managed to get back on last night and myself and hardbattle with a bit of help from boxoctosis gave what we thought was one of the queen’s missions a go (though reading up on them maybe it wasn't) which turned out very successfully apart from me dying loads! Was the one on Venus with the big stompy robot at the end and all the warp gates before it. Was a lot of fun.


We then tried the weekly heroic strike and managed to pull it off after sorting some tactics out with our two man tag team without even having to jump down in to the pit. Just be aware of those bloody minotaur’s teleporting in behind you! I then went for a few patrol runs and finaly did the daily on Mars solo down in the subway station, most pleasing.


Lvl 22 and rising but still not even had a sniff of a legendary bit of gear or weapon. :(


Oh and also did the first part of the exotic bounty, thanks for the tip Mr Ben, and now have to go and do the big stompy robot mission again for the second part which is a tad annoying but hey ho.

The weekly this week is well easy! Who is up for doing it in a clan three to get the trophy for doing a strike with your clan without dying? I'm sure there is a trophy for that.

I still need the weekly. Could also try doing it the higher levels, as you get more coins then I believe.

There is a trophy for no-one dying, and one for all clan, but you can do each one separate.

In other news went back to do some crucible as a Bladedancer. lol. top of the table 5 matches straight, no loot ...... :(

I wouldn't mind another bash, although I'm level 22 so I might not be very much use, but it'll be a laugh trying. I should get on around 9 so feel free to add me (Nate_Wind - PS4) if you want a go. I doubt I'll be chatting though, as the wife will be watching telly nearby. If I'm not on by 9.15, I won't be making it!

Also worth pointing out that each of the classes' sub class cover one of these damage types with their super, melee and grenade skills.

Titan Striker - Arc

Titan Defender - Void

Warlock Voidbringer - Void

Warlock Sunsinger - Solar

Hunter Gunslinger - Solar

Hunter Bladedancer - Arc

Worth keeping in mind.

Exactly. A hunter has no intrinsic void damage capability and although I have a void sniper and rocket launcher I suspect I will have to give this particular bounty up as a lost cause and research the options if the opportunity arises again.

Never mind, I had a good day yesterday and raised over 40 marks, thus enabling me to buy a new chest piece and going to level 24. Remember that patrol is a good option to take if you need marks because the public events are more frequent now and even a bronze award gives you a couple, a lot more quickly than a strike would.

Yeah the Queens Guard thing is weird. The only people who'd want to do it all are those with no legendary helm/chest, but then its level 24 so those people probably cant do it without someone higher level to help them anyway :huh:

The only reason to do them otherwise was to shard the purples as there's not many other ways to actually get the shards, and we need those to level up our armour! The rep vendor has blues and a few cosmetics, and that's it. No legendary gear other than class item. The event is kind of weak now.

Glad they sorted the cave out. Wishful thinking but would have been very funny if they'd painted all guardians who had used it with a mark or something so we could all (press left on d-pad) point and laugh at them when we saw it.
