I really believe there is a method to getting (at the very least The Last Word exotic hand cannon) exotic guns in the crucible.

After I got The Last Word in the crucible I watched a couple of Youtube videos about it and both explained the performance of the game they had in the crucible in which they unlocked it, it was identical to my game. Here's what happened.

I wasn't bothering about kills and was playing control, it's not like I wasn't trying but I wasn't bothered about dying while capturing flags. I had a rotten game must have been at around 10 deaths then all of a sudden I became a killing machine and went on a 6 kill spree (I did die once more after the spree). Game finished, my k/d was 0.55 exotic reward.

All of the expansion stuff has been datamined, a while ago by the looks of things:

Dark Below

Story: The Veil Lifted - Root out the Hive beneath the Cosmodrome and discover a secret of the Golden Age.

Story: The Seeding - Investigate the Return of Ancient Hive Wizards, preparing Earth for Crotas reign.

Story: The Wakening - Stop the Hive from summoning Crota and consuming our worlds.

Strike: The Jovian Complex - A new Hive brood gathers itself beneath the Cosmodrome in Old Russia

Raid: Crotas End - He waits in the darkness below

Three Wolf Moon

Story: Gone to Ground - Find a Wolves Baron and his conspirators who have betrayed the Queen and are hiding in the Cosmodrome

Story: Wolves Harvest - Track down the Queens traitorous Wolves and what they've stolen from the Awoken.

Story: The Citadel - Ascend to the top of the Vex stronghold on Venus and assassinate the Wolves Kell

Raid: "Reef Raid" - Not final name.

Strike: The Hypogeum - The resurrection of the Black Garden has begun, stop the Vex before the Gardens heart beats again

And Crucible stuff and gear through the link.

Ha, no way I'm paying £35 for that content. That's almost the full price again (ignoring the crazy RRP), plus of course it's digital content so un-sell-on-able. I assumed the initial content was quite stingy because they were going to be hitting us with all-new planets, massive vehicle pile-ups like in Halo, entire new weapon sets with crazy alien guns and shit, new sub-classes and more. That I'd pay for, and I'm sure it'll come.

An extension of existing planets and some new gun models is worth nowhere near that much.

They mined those from the Queen's bounty mission list. They're not necessarily the only missions in the expansions, they're more likely to be story missions presumably attached to a future Queen's wrath event once the DLC is out.

Who knows though.

A new raid, new strike, new story, new multiplayer maps and presumably new armor/weapons/level cap/maybe subclass doesn't seem like terrible value for £15 a pop providing there are some new bloody environments. What are they charging for the individual expansions? I got the expansion pack as part of the collectors edition for an extra £30.

Loving this game. Sit at work thinking about it and watching YouTube videos on farming locations and gear upgrades. Instead of, y'know... actually doing work. By some margin my Game of the Year. Can't wait to get home and do more Crucible and Queen's Bounties.

The one I linked to is from the 4th, so they're datamined from the launch game. Also they fit the expansion names and themes perfectly?

Also on there it mentions a Trial of Orisis Crucible event on Mercury that involves a bounty stage, and buying in with motes of light, with the need to rebuy if you fail. You can get the legendary Lightbearer sparrow that's in the data files this way, or a new scout rifle.

Plus, if the story we've seen so far is anything to go by, then why the fuck should we care about the new story missions? I mean, if they're from the same writers then it's almost certainly going to be laughably bad.

Yeah. It's clear from the expansion-mission descriptions above that it is the same dross again. Again.

Give me that content AND a new planet/moon to explore, and I'll pay £35, gladly. Call me cynical, but I don't expect to see any new planets until mid-late next year.

I'm not necessarily too bothered about new planets, but if they don't at least open up new areas within the planets we already have, well that will be a bit of a pisstake.

"As you can see below, she also has bounties for us to kill new enemies from new missions, but these likely will be unavailable until the DLC."

I think I interpreted this wrong.

3x story, 4x multiplayer maps, 1x strike and 1x raid seems alright for an expansion? One of those every three months for £15 seems OK to me.

Destiny 2: Your ship can fly a bit further!

In Destiny 3 you finally get to Pluto and there's absolutely nothing there.

Aren't there a number of doors that you can't get through on earth and the moon? My guess is that there will be extra content in the sense that there are areas new that weren't accessible before (i.e. didn't actually exist), just that it'll be built around the same assets that are used for those planets currently. I'd be happy enough with that, don't need a whole new planet.

Yeah there was some serious glitching out of the map going on during the beta, there are a few known areas which aren't open yet IIRC.

It would be cool to have some easily deployable 'distress call' item that sends out invites to all your Destiny-playing friends with a pre-filled message saying "Need some fucking help here!" or something.

This seems to have gone down well - I've tweeted it to Bungie.

The player interaction and grouping needs serious work. It shouldn't be so hard to find people to play with, group up with them and invite them. For example, it should automatically group anyone in range of a public event. It doesn't need to, because experience and loot is shared out anyway, but it should do to encourage people to form groups and friendships, rather than play the whole thing as a single player game that other people occasionally wander into.

Got to say I'm finding traipsing back to the tower all the time to collect and change bounties very dull. I've been really enjoying the crucible but why on earth do I have to go all the way back to the tower when I have finished one bounty to get another and keep my slots full?. It's similar with vanguard bounties, it would be so much better if when you do a random strike you had a chance to equip the bounty relating to that strike whilst in orbit. Also why can't you view your progress on crucible and vanguard rep at any point in the game instead of heading back to the tower?

For a game that is all about accruing rep and credits Bungie have made it surprisingly awkward to manage that process.

Got to crucible rank two yesterday, which meant an armour bonanza and lvl 25. Quite dismayed to see that at level 25 the game is expecting me to go to the moon and dick about collecting helium filaments to upgrade my gear.

I also don't really understand why the daily and weekly heroics do not have matchmaking. I just want to jump on for an hour when I get the chance.

Oh yeah and the Cryptarch is a fucking troll, he gave a me a 'grinder's cloak' the other day. Cheeky bastard!
