Am rank 2 Vanguard and have gotten 2 exotic bounties, one for the shotgun and now the pulse rifle one as well.

Also Titans get killed a lot during their super unless they pick up Unstoppable which allows you to take more damage during said super. Most Titans would rather have shoulder charge than that though for the added utility, plus its nowhere near as silly as the Hunter one, as I've been killed during my super even with that damage reduction talent.

I've not got a single Legendary or Exotic anything, at level 23. Everything Blue, nothing Purple.

Some friends and I did the Heroic Weekly Strike tonight. Levels 23, 24 and 25. It's a level 22 strike with a Heroic and Angry modification. Fuck me, it was impossibly hard. I can breeze a level 20 strike, and level 22s are normally fine for me. But that was fucking tough. We must have died a million times. Got basically nothing for it, other than the Strange Coins. :(

But I did well off the Daily Heroic mission, which was a piece of piss, so it's horses for courses I guess! Still not sure I'm feeling the Strikes yet. I'd like the bosses to be better.

When I'd finished all that, I played Control for rep and bounties. Scored three Crucible bounties in one game! Postmortem, capture 10 zones, and finished the one for killing 20 Guardians with Supers. That worked out well. My team lost, but I was the highest-scoring player overall.

I'm level 24, with Rank 2 Vanguard, and no Exotic Bounty offered yet despite doing 5 per day since launch. Also, a grand total of 2 Legendary Engrams to date, the first of which contained an Ascendant Shard, and the second of which had a blue machine gun that did the exact same damage as the one I was carrying. Fun, but I have still to even fire a single bullet from that particular line of weapons.

Basically, the 'secret' to loot drops is "Fuck you, it's just random." I still love the game, though!

This game is trolling me hard!! I'm lvl 24 and yet to get one legendary engram drop. It took me until levelling up to 5 with the cryptarch to finally get a lvl 20 (blue) sniper rifle.

So imagine my surprise when, tonight, I decrypted a blue special weapon engram, and got a legendary weapon! Except it's a shotgun. I don't use shotguns, they're fucking shit in this game. And guess what, the name of the shotgun? The Comedian!

Ah, a ha, ah haaa, ahaaha ahahahahahaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!! FUCK YOU CRYPTARCH!!

Still loving the game though. Looking forward to the Queen's bounties tomorrow.

Shotguns are one hit kills at point blank range in PvP. They're borderline overpowered.

Yep, the exotic I have is basically a shotgun that shoots 4 times in rapid succession, meaning anything that isn't a mini boss and up will die in one pull and hold of the trigger. Its well good in pvp as you can imagine.

Edit: Just got kicked to title screen with Centipede error code. No idea what's causing it, seems entirely random.

Im level 25 over 40hrs playtime and am yet to be offered an exotic bounty. I'm convinced it's related to Vanguard rep as I went Dead Orbit at the first opportunity so I haven't levelled it up at all.

I was in the same boat. Handing in 3 or 4 bounties at the same time seems to work.

I would kill for a purple shotty. It would increase my game so much!

Last night I went to the cave (I couldn't help it, they're probably going to patch it during the reset!) and got 2 legendaries in a couple of minutes. One hand cannon which I dismantled and The Comedian shotgun.

Shotguns are one hit kills at point blank range in PvP. They're borderline overpowered.

Honestly, everything is borderline overpowered in PVP. It's the Dota 2 approach.

That shotgun sounds wonderful! I can't wait to get my hands on some exotic gear.

By the by- as an Xbone player, would there be enough of us to warrant making an XBone thread for Raids and what not in the online folder? Just trying to gauge interest.

Notes on today's update:

Missions

  • Shrine of Oryx: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
  • Sword of Crota: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
  • Exclusion Zone: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers

If anything, they really needed to nerf Summoning Pits which is a complete pisser on the Heroic Strike.

Queen's Bounties goes live at 10am...

I've got two sets of exotic bounties (one for my Titan and one for Hunter) with both being the same: bad juju, super good advice and infinity.

Now I've solely concentrated on PvE with them and not even done a single PvP bounty. Now I'm thinking that mass crucible bounties will give you the other set.

Or could just be random...

I did the cave thing for about six hours over the weekend and collected one legendary engram which gave me a green hat. Fuck this game.

I managed to unlock this last night.

Out of interest how did you come to acquire this? I love scout rifles and this looks great.

I actually got an exotic in a game of PvP - The Last Word hand cannon and it's fantastic, I could sense everyone in the lobby would have been raging as my k/d was terrible, I actually just played it to do the daily cruicible challenge and I wasn't caring about how I played.

Edit - Also interestingly this particular hand cannon is shot by the hammer and not the trigger so is pretty cool watching the animation as you shoot. Also when it is unholstered it is spun round on the screen.

Yes, I would have thought so. I would be up for it but realistically it's going to take a good while to reach the necessary level since I'm at 23 and finding it fairly slow going to amass marks for better armour. The daily and two or three strikes is about my limit for high concentration of an evening.

On the upside, blue engrams are dropping fairly frequently I've now got two legendary weapons, a sweet pulse rifle and a big ass rocket launcher, I'm fine with void and solar damage but nothing with arc has dropped for ages.
