The aim assist is annoyingly obvious.

This really stood out to me as well actually. I rarely notice it that much in console shooters but it's extremely noticeable here. It has far more aim assist than Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare which I've been playing on PS4 recently, for example - ostensibly a more family/kid friendly game.

I just can't work out the story. So far as I can tell each level seems to be a separate mission, GTA-style. They all seem to be 'go to place, let dinklage look at some stuff, repeat'. Don't really understand the reasoning for it.

Nice shooty-man gameplay, though.

There was this thing called the traveller that came and made everything wonderful. Then something called the darkness came and there was a big fight, then things were bad. Now the traveller is all silent and the Ghosts he left to help are bringing people back to life as guardians, but the Darkness is returning.

No-one understands if the traveller is dead or not, and what can be done to stop the darkness because it's all super mysterious but you can become legend.... blah blah blah, shot things...

About 90mb per hour I've had it tethered to a phone for the last day.

Excellent! Thanks for the info, I'm at a relatives place and they have a 10gb limit. TEN! Fucking hell.

I had the exact same issue with the 2.0 headset microphone. Now, I'm not saying that you made the same stupid mistake that I did but... make sure you have them on the right way round. It's really easy to put them on backwards without realising (the buttons are perfectly usable either way round).

I'll double check tonight, its possible I might have had them on back to front :doh:

You just dismantle them, or you can stash them in your Vault as pass them on to any other character you make (your Vault is shared between all your characters).

Wow, I did not know this, very good to know thank you ! Really makes me want to start as a new class sooner than later.

Bear in mind that armour doesn't transfer between classes (so Warlocks can't wear Hunter armour and so on), but all the guns and spaceships and whatnot will.

Ahhh just as I got my hopes up, but that does make sense and i'm just pleased you can transfer everything else!

Got a Titan to level 20 earlier and thought I'd try it's secondary class. You have to start the whole talent tree again, which is fucking stupid because I went to do some low level Patrol quests and couldn't even double jump to get to some of the objectives, kept having to switch back to main spec to jump up a ledge. Retarded.

Love this game though btw. Have a blue in every slot except heavy weapon. Pew pew

how does the online thing work. if i play a game will it automatic match me with people on my friend list (I only have about 7:!)? or do i need to join or be invited to a game?

no idea how any of this stuff works - as i rarely play online... but would like to with a few people from rllmuk...

Well fuck me, this is glorious. :)


I absolutely love it after managing to play a few hours last night and get up to level 6. Totally agree with Rab’s view on it, just feels like those first fights in Flawless Cowboy again but this time in even more space and an even more wondrous world.


And the music and sfx are fantastic. Playing with some fancy headphones and an astro mixamp and it really is incredible. So much detail and scope.


Got up to the moon with a friend and met some of the horrors below. I really cannot wait to get back to it.

Online you can carry on playing solo & any co-op missions the game will pair you up with other players.

You can also create a fireteam of 3 players & take on the single player missions with 3 players (preferred choice - more fun), you can also join someone else's fireteam.

Add RLLMUK gamers to your friends list & go become Legend

The golden chests, should I open these now with my level 6 character or wait till I hit the 20 level cap?

Assuming the loot is levelled up with character stats

Golden Chest loot appears to be set, so you should open them as early as possible for the most benefit.

One good thing about Destiny, is the potential for whats to come.

I'm currently Level 7, Gawd knows what the game will be like when im up in the 20's :o

( i take it new missions will appear as you reach the magical figure of Level 20)

Some of the Weaponry they are teasing is quite frankly Scary.

Theres idiots on review sites saying the Guns feel weak. They are currently rated 38 or 39 ish. for overall power

... The higher level guns are over 250+ rated!

Go figure.

I really love the maps ive played so far on the Crucible matches. Sicking with a team mate seems to really work wonders.

Coming off BF4 its taken me a while to get my head back into the whole Halo type affair, but really have been enjoying it, and the jumping mechanic has really added a massive amount of fun and depth

Some interesting stuff in the guide book on grenade types and damage, like using swarm grenades at choke points. Friendly grenades glow white.
