Both VoG and Crota  could be done in an hour if you had a group that knew what they were doing and you were tagging. Crota is quite short. If you went in with 5 other newbies, it would take much longer as there is lots of stuff to work out.

 

VoG and Crota won't help your light level, because you'll only get old rewards. They are both fun though, especially VoG. To raise your light, just keep playing -do the daily mission to get marks and stat doing heroic strikes if you can. The more you play, the better stuff you will get. Just playing will get your light to 295+, which is plenty for a normal Kings Fall run.

 

Do you have regular people you play with? There's plenty on here who play regularly, and the online folder is great for organising things.

 

cool, thanks I play with a couple of other guys so guess we just need to find 3 more and sorting out the logistics, I will speak to them and then hit the online folder. :-)

I'm game. I've done VoG twice and I've never done Crota.

Aw man! We ran it but only had half an hour with three people so we didn't manage it. 

We did it first go!

Last time the level was up we failed badly. Every time.

I ran Nightstalker. 308 Hung Jury/318 1KS/310 Razelighter.

Blights>Adds>Boss

I think one guy was a Nightstalker too and the other was a Stormcaller.

2 deaths I the first room and a couple in the last room but we still had time to spare.

It was running with a Sherpa though. He knew what he was doing for sure. Ender321 on PSN.

The destiny thread is on the 2nd page for the first time since i joined the forum and my friends list playing destiny is almost non existent now. Do you think the game is done now? or will people come flooding back when new sp content drops?

Personally, unless we have new content in the next few weeks (unlikely), i think it'll be too late ;(

Chums still play - but only Control PvP, and personally only when there's a decent sized group (3-4 on).

 

Raid - seems difficult to get our group together, still vague efforts made but no one seems committed.

 

Considering we were Trials and Nightfalling weekly that's quite a drop off though. And we've gone from parties most nights to parties once a week. Not sure IB will change that.

 

New content would help - but it needs to add meaningful progress/rewards. CD (despite feeling like a Beta test for a full feature) failed spectacularly at that and I can't see anything else until there's a Light bump.

 

Even raiding you're reliant on getting an RNG drop at and RNG light level with RNG stats. It's too easy to hit a break wall in any meaningful progression without massive, massive amounts of luck

I've been playing a lot more crucible and especially trials, pick up teams mostly. I'll happily do trials with you, bud. Send me a message on psn and I'll get it on my phone. If we find a third to play elimination with, I'll stick it out till we go flawless. I'm good enough to do it, finally got my doctrine on xbone, 7 wins is my ceiling atm with pick up teams but with a regular group I just know the lighthouse beckons.

Anyone get anything good from Iron Banner?

I've had some gloves and a couple of Helmets. All pretty low light.

I got 2x 310 artefacts for my rank 3 packages. Same as I got last time... Change the record Bungie.

But I did get this from a drop:

It was only 282 but I've levelled it up and I've been using it in IB and it's pretty good.

Might be better than the vendor version.

Only has Ambush but I kinda like it.

n00b Iron banana question...

 

I haven't played for ages, the bounties that are split now into green and gold new - are the green daily and the gold just once per IB?

 

Basically can I cash my golds in now and get them again tomms or do I need to keep them until nearer the end for maximum points!?!?!

The gold ones are weekly ones so you can only cash them in once. Green are daily so refresh at reset

Cheers, I thought that was right but memory is not what it was!!

 

Loving playing PvP on this again, had a cracking rift game with a hero run from moi...
