I have been cold turkey for a few months so thought I would give it a bash today - the core game is just so much fun... we did a daily, couple of strikes and daily pvp and I could just fall into playing this all the time again!

Oddly it was having a chat about The Division that brought me thinking about this again and then my mate said we should go on again for old times sake - Having been playing Rainbow 6 before it the 30fps just sucks and I really hope they hit 60 for Destiny 2 but of course after a while I got used to it and much fun was had.

I even got an exotic from my first game of PvP - turned out to be a 310 stag so that was nice, esp as the other 20+ engrams I got across the time played were all shit and much lower than anything I have across my 3 characters....

And there is the rub, we thought about doing a Nightfall but whats the point - they are not as fun as they were before checkpoints ruined them and chances are the reward will be shit :(

I bought a Mida 2 and maybe thats were my issue is with the game, no point doing the Nightfall for a chance of gallamatrumpet Mida 2 when I can buy it even if its under levelled I have plenty to infuse it with.

So there we go, its still great and I could easily get hooked again but when I saw there was an update I kinda hoped there was some new content or something - only difference I found was my sparrow has a horn now!

Maybe we will reform the band for another run at the raid, I heard a rumour they are doing something to make the original (and better IMO) raids more relevant - any truth in that??

The level or randomness is starting to grate on the raid gear. I've no idea how many times I've run the hard raid on 3 characters now, I still don't have a 320 ghost, class item, or helmet....on any of them.

Interesting that three of us have all hit 320 in the same week. Almost as if it was planned that way :mellow:

Weekly update later on, should be interesting. I expect Deej will just tell us all about his lovely extended holiday and that'll be that, but it's the right time to tell us what they've actually got planned, I think. And maybe to apologise for all those bugs and stuff.

I'm a helmet away from 320, I could infuse my Warlock one into my Hunter's helm & be done with it but I'd rather not.

Unless something new gets added soon, or something old gets a new twist, I think I'm probably done. I've only been on to run the weekly Raid challenge 2 / 3 times for the last few weeks, can't remember the last time I played a mission or strike.

IB will bring me back for the foreseeable I reckon, and if SRL comes back, I'll give that another bash, especially if we get a couple of new tracks.

I was really enjoying this game.. the story was bobbins but the gun play is lovely so i was just having fun blasting bad guys. I go to the moon and suddenly I keep getting dumped out of the game because i've been logged out of PSN .. Check the connection all seems fine. Restart the game but 10 minutes later i'm out again ...

Is it like this for everyone .. or just on the PS3 ?

I always suspected permanently online was utter shit.

Pretty much where I am with it too, though I stopped raiding a couple of months ago. I haven't really played since last IB and doubt I'll be back before the next one, there's just not much in the game to aim for if you're not interested in 320 (which I'm not). Really hope they have something for us soon, but to be honest I doubt it as the bulk of the studio will have moved wholesale onto Destiny 2, or whatever they're calling it.

I've never really played Rift, just done it when it's been the daily and got the fuck out of there. Time to learn I guess, especially with a scout rifle at rank 4.

Not too fussed about a 2v2 mode because I put on some weight over Christmas and need at least two pals to carry me. Nice to know there's something bigger in the works at least, eh.
