Destiny: FIN

Gorf King

Just got this today and started a character. If there's any other noobs or otherwise who fancy some multiplayer shit or whatever it is you do on this game then add me: dizogg

Also unsure whether to use the instant level 25 thing.

Tried to post earlier but the forum was either down or just inaccessible.

Suros shader and emblem are now available in the tower from the postmaster. No idea if everyone can get them or not (I cant see why not), but I got mine earlier.

Obviously useless news for those who already had them with their pre-order, but not bad for those of us who saved a bit of money getting it anywhere other than Game or going digital.

Well that was a wasted night, not been able to play since mid Dec due to horrible circumstances (mum and wife in hospital) but had a rare and much needed rest night to myself.

Tried a few lfg groups to do oryx challenge (still no raid helm after umpteen tries on 3 characters weekly) total shit, groups of shitty sparrow gear no clue players, the utter lack of ability and squabbling just broke me.

I can't guarantee a play time and until I can to join forum activities again I think I'm out for a while, it's just utter frustration at this point :(

Thanks guys, but I really wanted the digital version so I could play it this weekend. Slightly annoyed with myself for missing it, but I had no idea games dropped in and out of the sale while it's still ongoing. Seems weird.

Edit - PSN by the way.

Guys is this still fun if I were to play on my own or with people I don't know?

I've got the original Destiny and I've heard The Taken King improves a lot of things but I'm not really sure what. Would pick it up though if it's worth it.

The new content added with The Taken King is great value for money. It makes a lot more sense when playing solo now, the mission structure is way better. The multiplayer content is better too, so it's a win/win for everyone!

The Taken King got me playing Destiny again.

I don't know if you picked up the previous expansions? Destiny is still Destiny, and although the missions for the new Taken King bloc are more varied (and better set up) it's not exactly a night and day change. But it's much better organised, and the new system of quest lines means there's actually a surprising amount of content in there. Plus, new sub classes.

As always, the key to Destiny is access to end game activities. And the cycle of playing those for loot.

What does it add? Is there a lot more content and variety? I was pretty bored of the "go here, wait for your robot to decrypt something whilst fending off the horde" stuff. More of that and I won't be too interested :(

Another one that got back into this after TTK came out. There is noticeably more variety in the mission IMO, but for me the main hook is still that the core shooting is absolutely superb, its a fantastically crafted FPS, on a level with the best Halos I think. And the PvP is also really really good.

The taken King adds obvious stuff for the solo player to do after the end of the story. You're no longer just dropped.
