I like it more as Control (Warlock multi-kills at zones :D) but there's definitely some massive frustration when your team has no idea how to cap/score well and just plays death.

I really think I improved PvP this last week - certainly giving more thought to gear rather than just running with high light PvE stuff. (Obsidian Mind for Void is silly fun when you get 3-4 multi-kills at zones and Impossible Machines are nice for Stormcallers...with their fast charge super as well...oh my)

Anyone got tips for grenades? Arc/Void all feel a little light (but good "control" ones). I love fire burning to death, but the others lack that impact.

Not sure if it's just perception but this time seemed REALLY bad for respawning you in stupid positions and a 2nd near insta death from opposing team.

You're not on your own with the respawning. I got spawn killed so many times this IB I forgot how many times it was. Dunno what was up with it. Rubbish spawn spots aplenty. Spawning into someone with a rocket in my face is my highlight I think, no time to react at all.

x2 characters at rank 5, a 311 hand cannon, 316 arms as r5 packages and a few pointless 320 ghost shells where the better drops. Was hoping for better! Miss the Etheric Lights or the guaranteed level 30/32 armour of before.

I was looking forward to the return of Control, but think I now actually preferred the my-guns-are-bigger-than-yours purity of Clash. Too reliant on other people Who want to capture zones, too many scoring variables messing up the leaderboard, and with the finish top scorer weekly bounty, you get loads of players just chasing kills rather than working as a team. See you next month IB!

Weekly Nightfall: This week’s strike is the Dust Palace with Void burn, Berserk, Specialist, Juggler, and Grounded modifiers. Berserk prevents enemies from flinching. Specialist adds bonus damage when using special weapons. Juggler prevents your from getting ammo drops for your equipped weapon, and Grounded makes it so you take more damage while airborne.

317 Void Sniper? Oh yeah....:D

You can hold on to them until the next Iron Banner and they'll keep your current progress, if that's what you mean.

No I meant the weekly crucible bounties. I have an auto rifle one that seems bugged and won't complete.

I've ditched it as there's an auto rifle one again this week too.

The complete x games with x auto rifle kills one?

I have that too. It's bugged, I looked into it the other week. I've just left it there, though - thought it was part of a quest line rather than a weekly.

Yeah I deleted that. You don't need it to unlock the weekly crucible bounty access anymore - think Bungie may have done a half-patch. Which is great because I wasn't looking forward to the next quest step which was probably something stupid like kill 30 guardians with a No Land Beyond or something.

A chum said the "X games with Y+ Auto Rifle kills" quest was bugged (he was trying to get the Shaxx bounties unlocked - didn't mention any others in progress to unlock stuff).

I had the similar bounties from the Crucible chap that didn't seem to progress but I assumed I was terrible :)

Yeah I'll try again this week with my auto rifle kills. They are still pretty hard to get I think. I tried using hard light, Zhalo, Haakons, Antipodal, but I had most luck with the Monte Carlo and that's not got anything unlocked.

I used Zhalo for Auto Rifle, Last Word for Hand Cannon, Tlalloc for Scount Rifle and Nirwyn's for Pulse.

The hardest part was actually sticking to primary to kill things rather than melee/super/grenade/secondary. (I tend to shoot for a bit then PUNCH IN THE FACE)

Ah yeah the weekly. I used the doctrine trials auto, it proper sprays faces with the bullets. Found the Hand Cannon part the biggest pain. I do like keeping on top of the weekly crucible bounties- means you can pick up your 17 strange coins (or shit ghost) as soon as you log in on Tuesdays.

Generally it's disappointing but it's often something from below (not all with equal chance obviously!)

Coins (Strange or Three of)

Gear (inc exotics) 290-310ish

Nothing

Motes

Racing packs (oh how my chum was happy to receive a Horn Pack)

I'd do the nightfall for a fun challenge with friends (with MAYBE an ok loot) rather than as a reward centered activity. When something good drops it's a surprise rather than expected
