Well that's not entirely true now, as you can make them permanent, but cant do that if it doesn't even drop, so meh.

Yeah, I get the feeling they dont drop, despite the helmets dropping (or if they do I've never seen anyone get one).

I spent silver on some horns as I had a bit left over after buying the book, so I could make it permanent....if it dropped. I didn't get one from Eververse, which is what I was hoping for annoyingly. I did get that rare sparrow though, so there is that I suppose.

320 class items definetely drop, seen them twice, not for me obviously. Did you also go through an incredibly long period of not getting a class item? The minute I hit rank 3 I was almost rank 4 before I got a sniff of another one, best I have managed has been the 319.

The wean has had 1 class item drop the whole of rank 3 too, and it was shit.

Yeah I think I've had enough of Sparrow Racing now too.

I'm currently feeling I "should" play it for chance of 320 stuff (about 1/4 of way to rank 5, up to 318 hats and 317 class items dropped) but it's doing something that's becoming repetative for the minor chance of a small reward. 4-5min an attempt for a 320 though make it hard not to give it "one more go" the the chance of upgrades.

And exotics! (If you use a 3oC). I think the 3 week period was well judged by Bungie. I can see it coming back in March with 2 new tracks and chance at chest armour / arms at up to 320.

So we're progressed tonight. Killed HM Sisters pretty gosh darn quick on our first time.

Oryx is a bit of a step up though - which was a nice surprise. The actually mechanics aren't different, but numbers (and amount of stuff that kill you) is bonkers.

We got 1 phase down a couple of times. Just practices to do it again and again now

Easily: it's an item you get when you create a new character. I'm playing back from the start though. You get a level per story mission, and the game is a lot better when you don't have to repeat them all ten times to progress...

There are thing destiny does well, and there are things - the moment to moment shooting - that it really doesn't. If titanfall had come out on the PS4, I wonder if Destiny would have sunk without trace?

Ah well, onto Year Two.

Seriously? The moment to moment shooting is at the heart of the pleasures that Destiny brings and is why, despite the game's failings in some other areas, I find it difficult to settle into any other game - the combat elsewhere just doesn't feel right, or anywhere near as satisfying. This is Bungie's A-game, and the little combat loop - the feel of popping heads, the sound and balance of the weapons - is just as moreishly addictive in Destiny as it was in Bungie's Halo.

Opinions and all, but I genuinely fail to understand the sentence above to the extent that I suspect it might be an extended typo. And if Titanfall had come out on PS4, it would have done very little to affect Destiny's success. It's just far too limited in scope to have the legs Destiny has had, and will continue to have.
