And of course that's a reasonable option to provide, but not for 25 fucking quid. Really, it should be free, at most something you unlock after reaching that level with your first character.

This is really gross even for this game.

Totally agree. And if they're going to do it they need to include a few new missions or something. Hell, even some dance moves or some permanent Sparrow tracks.

Still, as it's so naff only the whales or those in a hurry with cash to burn will buy. Nothing for the rest of us to see here.

Or, you know, the other thing.

On two occasions I died in the shade bubble, self-revived then after the kill we teleported back outside and I immediately died, taking someone else with me.

The first time we got all 16 bombs, Oryx only went down to half health.

The second time, he stayed at full health.

The third time, there was no third time, because fuck that for a game of soldiers.

Rubbish.

He had brought his lag switch though, boot in the bawz mode.

To be honest, this challenge has just confirmed to me that Bungie are the master troll, unbeatable.

Where else can you play a game for weeks, get fuck all in the way of rewards unless you dont mind heavy or special weapon infusion fodder,not seen a helmet drop once, the rarest of the fucking rare by all accounts...

.... Sparrow racing league, drops up to 320 light gear... Result, a week later I have a 320 helmet on every guardian....

.... Hard mode oryx, finally 320 primaries, the final piece of the jigsaw.....

.... 320 fucking helmet, fuck you bungie, fuck you.

On the plus side, took 20 moldy shards to give me a low light primary worse than everything I have, they were only taking up valuable inventory/vault space.

So there are SRL boosts in the microtransactions? And after saying that there'd be free expansions this year they're not actually doing expansions?

I'd love to see what it would take to create a ripple in this thread. As is you get three posts discussing the fact that Bungie raped and eviscerated everyone's cats before everyone goes back to talking about the nightfall :lol:

rattle, stebbo and I went through the nightfall last night. My reward was an antique horn, they've definetly upped the reward quality....

We also managed the normal Oryx challenge after a very smooth run through the rest of the raid. Without the mystery teleporting ogres and me running into the shades bubble as it formed we probably would have finished that pretty quickly too. Only a quick run by LeChuck around an errant orb saved us on our winning attempt.

They never actually said there would be free expansions though, that was "the internet" jumping to conclusions. The microtransactions are supposed to be funding the "Live Team" who give us stuff like Festival of the Lost and Sparrow League. I assume, freeing up the proper team who can work on giving us better quality of content than we had in year 1, which is fine with me.

Charging £25 for the level boost? Yeah that's cuntish, but when you think about it, if folk are stupid enough to pay it, then knock yourselves out. It's not pay to win or giving a game breaking advantage to anyone. 99% of the community will already have the subclasses maxed out. My theory is after saying they had removed the subclass boosts from the game, Activision told them to put them back in. After going against what they said originally, Bungie then decided to set the price so ridiculously high that no one would buy it.

That fucking raid last night, took us an hour to get by the War Priest, laggy glitchy mess for us, there were things attacking us before the doors had opened, teleporting knights, plates taking ages to activate. It was more challenging than challenge mode! Had a quick go on Oryx before we called it a night, seems very doable this way. I managed to get to 317 light, a 320 Primary and Helmet would be just fucking dandy right now!

I can see myself still using Nirwyn's when team drunk reassembles for trials.

I'm tempted to give Tlalloc a go in PvP after using it for Shaxx's bounties last week. With a full super it's a beast.

is the Exotic from the Queen's faction much cop (PvE or PvP) ? I've just got it (didn't realise it was a thing).

Right. That is out too isn't it? Why would they release those two the same week? Big mistake thinking of how much markets overlap. I can only watch BHVV I am afraid. But I will watch it several times.

You mean you'll watch it in separate 5 min bursts, then decide on a favourite bit and put that on repeat?

Any tricks for getting crota rep? I'm level 4 and a half but it's dried up. I have a bounty to kill ten ultras without dying but it's impossible

Run the Crota's End raid, you can Solo it fairly easily. Someone has done it using a DDR mat:

Are any of the bosses in the old Sword of Crota mission Ultras? That would be easy. Or just run the Phogoth strike on normal.

Boolean Gemini is the best exotic scout rifle in the game....next to Mida. Get. It.

Cant get on with Tlalloc, feels weak in comparison to Boolean to me. I'm used to the sight on Boolean mind, so bear that in mind. It takes some getting used to.

I didn't like Boolean Gemini. It had a fat arse (it felt like it took up half the screen when you weren't aiming down sights) and uninspiring perks.

On the other hand, I'm thrilled MIDA is back, for PvP at least, and Tlaloc is basically my favourite gun - I still find it nice enough to use when my Super isn't up, but then when it is charged it's just ridiculously beastly. In that state it's almost certainly the best primary in the game these days, for me.

(I am a huge Scout nerd too - the only three primaries I have these days are a 310 Hung Jury, a 310 Tlaloc and a 295 MIDA (I'm in the middle of infusing stuff into), because they're the only three I ever want to use. And yes, if Scouts get nerfed I'm fucked.)

Not to mention the disconnects we were getting between those attempts. Seems a lot of people were having problems last night. It was pretty straightforward and smooth before 10pm, honest!
