Someone in a stream I was watching got a 320 helmet. So it'll be whatever's in the loot pool, like the other challenges. So primary, ghost, exotic, helmet?

Did he also get the ship? Maybe that's the guaranteed drop aside from the artifact.

I also thought it might be something to do with the Ogres/Orbs earlier in the week, but couldnt really think of a mechanic they could have used other than rotating who detonated the orbs or something. Nice to see I was partially right at least.

Yeah I read it as getting the Ogres out 4 times before you detonate anything, so have 16 bombs to detonate at once. Otherwise, as you say, it's just the normal Raid.

Are they really selling the boost for 50 quid? Are they crazy? :facepalm: And also, will this take a subclass all the way to max level? If so, I must buy this immediately as it means getting my platinum without having to play a Hunter ever. Priceless.

When you back home? I had a go at Trials on the weekend there with Marmite and Fin and quite enjoyed it. Since you offered, I thought I'd take you up on it. Got a (pro) 3rd in mind?

I may have trouble this week getting the challenge done at all as everyone else seems to have managed to get in a group, or are part of a raid team already. Anyone have a pity raid spot available for the challenge this week? :)

Edit: May be a bit early to ask for help, but I don't have a regular raid team anymore, and its up in the air every week more or less.

God, they sooooo need to bring the old-style strikes back into the Nightfall rotation. It's crazy that they restrict it to just a tiny subset of what is, after all, hardly a lengthy list of available content in the first place. The restricted rotation we do have is a bit flyblown now - plus, why bother even trying to eke out its scant rewards when you can receive 3oC exotics and >320 helms for coming last in Spodracing?

Needs more fun injecting back into it. Give me fucking Sepiks, man: it's what arc burns were made for. (Except... make it solar, so I can Spindle the fuck out of that walker/stupid fat godball in ~10 secs, k thnx.)

My friend just posted this in a discussion thread about the boosts, amazing.

As a hardcore destiny player I can confirm that you can rank a character from 1 to 40 in about 10 hours. I do it twice a week. Run 3 hard raids on Tuesday, delete a character, run him back to 40, do raid again, then delete, then.run back to 40 then again! Mental I know but you know what, I love it!!

I suppose it's to boost a class you've not played yet without going over the same ground.

And of course that's a reasonable option to provide, but not for 25 fucking quid. Really, it should be free, at most something you unlock after reaching that level with your first character.

This is really gross even for this game.

This looks like a whole bunch of fun, actually.

Or, you know, the other thing.

On two occasions I died in the shade bubble, self-revived then after the kill we teleported back outside and I immediately died, taking someone else with me.

The first time we got all 16 bombs, Oryx only went down to half health.

The second time, he stayed at full health.

The third time, there was no third time, because fuck that for a game of soldiers.

Rubbish.
