Well only the exterior is used in the show, the inside is a stage in California and nothing like the inside of the on in NY. I went there myself about a month ago too as part of Kenny 'the real' Kramers reality tour. If any Seinfeld fans are in NY I urge them to try and get tickets to this. It is about an hour and a half with the inspiration for Kramer talking about his time living opposite Larry David and . Then there is another hour and half on a tour bus around New York and to Tom's Restaurant. He said the only reason that Tom's was used was that the photographer was told to get some shots of a generic NY restaurant and this was the one right outside his apartment. Kramer also runs his own store where I got things such as the assman number plate, the Kramer portrait on a rug, Vandelay Insdustry stickers.

Any more info you wanna give? I'd love to go on that tour.

I went on that years ago, worth the money but at the same time quite strange. I think they nailed the feel of the tour in the show itself with the Peterman reality tour!

I'm watching through various seasons of Seinfeld again on DVD and this time I've discovered the 'Inside looks' feature and the 'Notes about nothing' feature, which I find infinitely fascinating.

For example, a reverse-vasectomy is actually called a vasovasostomy. :(

Edit - although I still think the commentaries are really boring!

i downloaded all 32gbs of seinfeld a few weeks ago and have been going back over the entire show. i found an episode i hadn't seen before last night, which was a rare thrill. watching them all again reminds me how peerless it is, and how hard it is to pick favourite episodes or even moments in episodes.

this exchange from The Marine Biologist is up there for me.

"now... i should tell you..."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdgqPf9meu4

but i just remembered the one where Kramer forms a corporation and gets an intern from NYU

"i'm sorry, we can't allow darren to continue working with you."

"i must say i find this capricious and arbitrary!"

"your fly is open."

or Kramer's story about returning pants
