Did you not think you would?

Well, the first time I watched (when it was originally broadcast) I wasn't really paying attention properly. Anyway, I didn't find it funny.

But, er, I get ''it'' now. It is bloody funny. The characters are brilliant.

Dean Learner - ''Well, I've seen Garth bend a spoon. So he knows what he's talking about''

I love the way people just randomly pull out guns, too.

''Ha! Eat that!''

Or

''I can't keep back these plates forever!''

Best episodes still yet to come.

KEEPER

I am the Keeper. Who is this that interrupts my slumber?

GARTH

Do we have to go through this again? What are the hellhounds doing? This is bureaucracy gone mad.

KEEPER

State your business.

GARTH

I have come for the Darkplace DVD. The time is now…

A BONY HAND DESCENDS FROM ABOVE. IT HOLDS THE DARKPLACE DVD. LIGHTING FLASH. HELLHOUND CHORUS HOWLS.

I can picture myself in this weird parallel universe, excitedly reading the manual to Raiden III whilst listening to the commentaries on 'Darkplace'.

I can picture myself snorting a yard-long line of coke off the wing of my own private 747, while the '60s Jane Fonda - in her Barbarella costume - winks at me from the VIP lounge window.

Come on God, would it kill you to help me out on something I actually need?

I saw it for the first time tonight...

Why do you people hold it in such high regard? To me it was mostly very obvious surrealism... like, the kind of obvious where its' not really that surreal you know. not really that believable at being really shit tv or anything either. you know? I hope i missed the point. what was it

You need to watch it on Legendary to really appreciate how good it is.

Eh? It's not surrealism at all. It's a wonderful mockery of TV shows from the Eighties. High concept - poor quality shows.
