wtf

Haha, I think that's actually a running joke making fun of some other guy who was always requesting costume mods to make characters look pregnant in the original SF4 PC version. It's still inexplicably weird, though.

Anyway, it's true that about 90% of the custom skins are just scantily clad versions of the female characters' existing costumes, but there are some truly excellent other ones. These are some of the good ones I had installed for Heggfest (rllmuk fighting game weekend):

Pro tip: if you buy the real alt costume packs, you'll have extra slots into which you can save your various custom skins, so if you're looking to get a bunch of different versions of your weirdo Sakura mod then it's worth getting the extra paid costumes too while they're on sale.

::throws money at Gabe::

Edit: Hope the online community is lively! It'll also mean I'll stop feeling sad about the inevitable unplugging of the 360 and the controller being useless as a result, sometime!

From reading the comments around SRK and the like, the community is still healthy on the PC, although obviously it's not going to be as big as the console communities.

I'm a bit more worried about the implications of GFWL kicking the bucket, but I'm sure bridges will be crossed when the time comes, just like the Dark Souls community. And let's face it:

Hmm, CK2 is about £6.50 in the Amazon.com sale that some kind soul linked earlier. They have a "complete" version as well for £18 or so, but I've no idea how complete it really is. Now, to wait to see what gaben offers up or to jump on it now...

Is Endless Space any good? It's been on my wishlist for ages, but no one really talks about it.

It's on sale at the moment. £8.49 on it's own, and £14.49 with the newly released DLC called Disharmony.

I bought it yesterday (just the base game) and have enjoyed the few hours I've put in it today - it seems to have been marked-down by a lot of places because of the combat, but I think it's fine. From reading some comments about the expansion though it doesn't seem worth getting.

It also allows mods - no idea what the modding community for it is like though.

But yeah, I like it. It has a crisp, clean interface too, which I think really helps.

Yes, use an American address and you can buy games fine, I go to University in California as they also don't charge sales tax.

What a coincidence, I live near there at 123 Fake Street, Beverley Hills 90210, we should go for a drink.

I think mine is a pizza place in Delaware. Bet they have nice pizza, One day I'm going there and I'm going to leave a large tip for their involuntary help.

:D My Korean Xbox Live account [from when they were giving away different free games in different territories] is based in a pizza shop in Seoul. I needed a valid billing address and I don't read Korean, but pizza shops can be relied upon to have websites in English.

I bought SSFIV:AE with the costume pack that seems to give you everything in the "complete" pack for a bit less - I'd be up for a game, even though I'm well out of practice and I do play Blanka :)

Woot :) bought. Even though I have the older Xbox version. Which I never play.

But that's the point, right? :D

Have Valve said when the summer sale is going to begin? I don't even know why I'm asking. I'll never get to play any of the things ill inevitably buy..

GreenManGaming are doing a 666 sale

6 Deals Every 6 Hours for 6 Days.

First Batch

Killing Floor - £3.74

Star Trek - £13.59

Guns of Icarus - £1.99

Lucius - £4.99

RE6 - £9.99

Borderlands 2 (AND Seasons Pass!!!) - £9.99

Extra 10% off with GMG10-U49LX-GAE17

Edit - The BL2 deals is bonkers. Considering it includes Tiny Tina - which was out about 2 weeks ago for £7-8 quid, it's just silly. 2 codes as well so can be attached to existing steam BL2 purchases. PC gaming  RE6 would be a buy a sub £5...

Think I'll finally get RE6 as I've got £2 credit and I doubt it will be cheaper in the Steam sale. So that's one of my main games bought before the Steam sale starts, now just give me deals on Remember Me and Revelations and I'll be happy.

Also don't forget you can get 6% cash back via Quidco and they're usually pretty quick to pay.
