Bought Banished, the Banner Saga and Spintires.

I've never played a game as compelling and frustrating as Spintires. I don't mean frustrating due to any deficiency in gameplay or quality, I mean I can't even get to the next outpost from the start. I've ragequit three times and keep going back.

Have you worked out the winch thing? That helps quite a lot.

I've been looking on Youtube at that and how to get across the river.

The landrover just gets swamped and washed away every time I try to cross. I did get further across in the blue truck, but even that got washed away at the shallowest crossing point I thought I'd found.

I think there must be another garage on the side of the river I can get to which contains a Much Bigger Truck.

You need to cross over the islands in the middle.

I also picked up Spintires and have spent a good few hours enjoyably getting lost, stuck, and washed away in rivers. It's really quite good.

There's one map where I'm trying to head North to open up a new area, but there appears to be a pretty deep and fast-flowing river that goes all the way across the map. I've tried exploring up and down the bank to find a shallow crossing point, but there doesn't seem to be anything. I only have two trucks - the landrover-y 4x4 and the larger, rusty, blue, thing from the 1950's.

If anyone spots Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum for less than a Fiver on Steam, give me a bell.

One of my favourite games ever, want to get back into it.

Used to love creating coasters with no end, so people would just fly off into the air and...er...die.

Sick really. Though I'm not the only one.

I'll be getting the post up sometime today.

Going to have to use a second account this year to collect all the gifts with the new restrictions on trading. Funnily enough I set it up for the first Secret Santa and never used, will mean nobody can gift Portal this year as that's the only game I own on the account.

Edit: Something else I was thinking of mentioning this year was the spirit of gift giving, it's more of a thoughtful gift, than a jokey single copy of Bad Rats. Send it as an addition by all means, but not as the only gift.

I don't went to get too much into what people can and can't give, but there where instances of people putting thought into the gifts they gave and then getting something akin to Bad Rats in return, which didn't go down too well. Not what you want on Christmas day and not really fun for me as I enjoy this because of the positive reactions people have to gifts.
