I own Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 on 360 and Left 4 Dead 2 on PC. I am thinking of buying Left 4 Dead on PC as it's so cheap but yet I've only ever spent many many hours on the 360 versions and barely played the PC version. I am mental. :unsure:

I almost bought the discounted Left 4 Dead 2 today however for us Ozzies it's still the low violence version.

I'm ok with less blood or gore than the standard version. What I'm not OK with is that the bodies of the zombies ghost/rez out when hitting the ground (or even before hitting the ground.) Which completely destroys the atmosphere of the game.

Still no sale for me then :(

Can you not get someone to gift you the UK version then ?

Not sure if that would work or if when it was gifted to me it would change into the Oz version.

Still the problem doesn't effect the original Left4Dead and I have some new content to play with...for free...so I'm not complaining.

Still love Valve.

You would get the uncut version if it was gifted, same for those in Germany as well who have many games cut.

How long do the offers normally last for? I want to buy the mac L4D2 4 pack for 15 quid. Will it still be there tomorrow?

If you get them early they will be, says the sale will end at 4pm tomorrow. Not too sure if that's our time or theirs as usually the sales are updated at about 6pm for us.

Go on you know you want to, they're great fun and a bargain, you'd be silly not to. ;)

But I have far too many games and far too little time as it is, I'd never ever get around to playing them....

I'd better not, I might just turn off Steam until this damned sale finally blows over.

I had hoped to get the games I bought in the summer finished before the Christmas sale, but ooh this sale is nice, as is this one, I'm going to fail at that. One of the reasons I do like seeing the hours played, as I'll sometimes think I've not played this one much so I'll give it a play now.

To be fair though - both L4D games for less than renting 2 zombie movies from Blockbuster is a fairly good bargain.

One of the reasons I do like seeing the hours played, as I'll sometimes think I've not played this one much so I'll give it a play now.

Sometimes I'll see a game I think I've played to death and it says "4.4 hours played" or somesuch. In a strange way it makes me want to play more games.

The 'Holiday' Sale isn't that far off really, just over 2 months. You'd better get playing :)

Two weekend deals this week, you could say they're spoiling us, or not really. Modern Warfare 2 is finally on sale which I'm sure is nothing to do with a final milking before the new one comes out, 33% off £26.79 also 50% off the two map packs, £5.49 each. Killing floor is the other sale 50% off £7.49, one of those games that seems to be regularly on sale, seems strange right after Left 4 Dead, then I guess they could be hoping to ride the zombie wave.
