Today I bring you what is yet the longest Mortal Kombat tribute video ever made. I started this project as a simple combo video, but it evolved into something much deeper and meaningful. The glittering jewel known as Mortal Kombat 5: Deadly Alliance changed my life in more ways that I could hope to imagine. I knew from the first day that I played it, I had to express my love for the game beyond just posting about how I enjoyed it and who the coolest character was. The artistic and aesthetic beauty of the model and level design, as well as the balanced, fast, and fun gameplay exposed me to a universe that I had never thought possible.

I would like to thank my partners on this project, Juggernaut, JFCalibur88, Konqrr, for contributing videos and support, and ultimately having faith in this movie. And also Sub-Zero_7th, who perhaps has a deeper knowledge about this game than any other person alive, lol.

I must thank Konqrr again, HUGE ADMIRATION for hosting this video directly on his site... TRUELY a king amongst men....

Here are the technical details and features of the movie:

-Highest yet discovered open air and wall combos for every character

-Custom music track for almost every character, over 30 music tracks are used

-mix up games/effect pokes and sweeps used in a interesting and hilarious fashion in match fights

-Intense matches featuring all characters on every arena

-PLAY AS MOLOCH VIDEOS!!! AW YEAH!!

-Easter Egg material as well as Test your sight max/Test your might diamond break

-Glitch/bug/exploit material... some of this stuff has to be seen to be believed!

-Much, much more... you will have to see it for yourself!!!

I have tested this video in the following media players and have found it to be fully functional with no problems:

Media Player Classic

VLC player

Windows Media Player

So I recommend that you use one of those media players to watch the video.

Length: 1 Hour, 4 Minutes, 46 Seconds

Size: 412 MB

Video: XVID 640x480 30 fps .avi

Audio: 128 kbps Constant Bitrate MP3

Hey, I'm a Capcom man through and through, but I'm always happy to watch skill/combo videos from any fighting game.

Except DOA4, though. The idea of a DOA Skill video is an oxymoron.

They exist

And yes, it's not like the man is asking money for his vid, is he? He just wants an audience after all his labour. Man, is this forum the most cynical place on Earth or what?

That should be the forum's new tagline.

Rllmuk: "The most cynical place on Earth"™

...

MK: Deadly Alliance is the kind of game only a mother could love, though.

Sometimes they have really fat American guys visiting and they stop me getting to the sandwich shop.

With a tear in their eye, their faces full of the sadness of obesity as they struggle to prevent you going the same way. "Don't eat the sandwich, my friend... such sorrow should never befall a man" they implure as they block your futile attempt to get in the queue.

You should thank them, for they know only too well the dangers of triple-decker ham and cheese on rye.

I wonder though - why did you choose to host it yourselves rather than to upload it to Youtube and just embed the player? Maybe even just setup a bittorrent tracker for it?

I'm not a fan of 400 meg http downloads, you see.

Edit: I just watched it - for all your enthusiasm, MK:DA still looks like a weightless, artless, waste of time button masher. You guys did well with the material you had, but it was never going to be my cup of tea.

Good effort all round though - I can't imagine how many hours of playing, editing and producing that must have taken you. You definitely know what you're doing, so I look forward to you doing it with a game I actually like.

Massive Invisible Dog - you really work next to midway? i cannot believe it!! thats amazing! you think you could really get them to watch this? man that would be the most incredible favor... i would worship you forever. please, that would be great! thank you man!!

i couldnt host it on youtube cause its 1 hour long, and i would have to cram it to 100 mb and it would look awful, also because youtube downcodes to 320x240.

It's a pity you're wrong. I work for Midway and I'm not working on Chicago. How can that be?!

They have studios all over the place, not just Chicago.

Update - the details of the Wii version of Mortal Kombat : Deadly Insurrection will be provided at a later date, meaning there could well be special Wii implementaiton for the Wii version. Hooray!
