I think they read your post ;)

To be honest, I didn't have a handheld in mind (that post was miles before the DS). But the DS is well suited to this kind of thing with the touch wat-not.

I still think there's also a market for this kind of thing on the home TV as well.

.::: Here's the thread on the Jap version from last year:

Online is exclusive to the Western version btw. ;) Hmm, would it contain mahjong?

[edit] Ooh, hopefully this Snakes and Ladders version is in it as well.

Also it has hanafuda, the game that got Nintendo started about a hundred years ago. It played like some kind of match-up game.

Well this was the games line-up for the Japanese one:

Old Maid, Spit, I Doubt It, Sevens, Memory, Pig, Blackjack, Hearts, Rummy, Last Card, Last Card Plus, President, Five Card Draw, Texas Hold Em, Nap, Spades, Contact Bridge, Hasami Shogi, Turncoat, Chinese Checkers, Checkers, Dots & Boxes, Backgammon, Chess, Connect Five, Grid Attack, Koi-Koi, Soda Shake, Dominoes, Bowling, Darts, Billiards, Balance, Take Over, Solitaire, Escape, and Mahjong Solitaire.

But there's only 37 in that version so there'll be 5 new ones.

This looks awesome - simple, yet the potential to be sooooo good!

I see Play have it up for pre-order already..... looking forward to some online chess battles.

Wonder how it will work? Will you have to play the entire game in one go, or could you play it over a length of time?? Hmmm......
