Aldor's good, i still use the aldor chest as my tanking chest. I need to go kill nightbane a bunch more times so i can get a new epic chest. Fairly easy to farm rep for them too as long as you don't mind killing demons in smv non stop for days..

Aldor is so much easier to get rep for as you get marks from all the instances in Terokkar. You need to be 70 and have a flying mount to get to the tempest keep instances that drop scryers rep items, and even then in much lower numbers than the aldor drops.

I'm at least revered with all Outland factions yet only just honored with the scryers. If I could be bothered to go finsih all the Netherstorm quests it would probably get me half way to revered and then it would be down to the rep grind, which just sucks.

So Gruul this Sunday looks like a bit of a non-starter. 16 people signed (including Chauntea who'll only be on after work, Marche who gquit & Chaos who I think is MIA atm) isn't gonna cut it really. Should we just go for a kara clear as usual but limit it to thursday & sunday, then do something fun on Monday? (ZG/AQ20)

I think people really only run them for giggles these days. Blizz basically resets gear requirements with the expansion (so even the very best raid stuff at 60 is probably equal to 5 man blues at 70) so there really isn’t any reason to go there other than for the adventure (which sometimes is reason enough of course!).

Blizzard are retuning Naxxramas Necropolis and making it the entry level raid instance for the next expansion.

What's happened to the old level 60 raid instances in TBC, do people still bother with them?

You can enter Outland at level 58 and the mobs there are worth twice the XP of non-Outland mobs, so everyone goes straight there as soon as they can. Then, when you reach level 60 you will be wearing Outland greens, which at that level are better than the best non-Outland blues, no there's even more reason to stay put.

Even characters decked out in full tier-3 epics will be able to replace them all with 5-man instance blues before they hit 70.

tbh t3 is still very, very nice.... and some stuff from BWL is still better than most outland gear

(Neltharion's Tear is still imba 44 spell damage and 14 hit on a trinket is nice even at lvl70! considering Quagmirran's Eye is from a heroic it only has 37 spell damage and a chance to increase spell haste)

I wore my t2 helm with my mage until around lvl68

I dont think people really bother with the old endgame instances, people go for fun but the attument means many of us wont even bother... they should remake some of them, even if it was just one or two bosses and made them lvl70 heroic standard (Just raggy from MC, neffy and maybe Val from BWL, and Ony) would be nice.... Ony was such a nice boss
