Muk - 'The' Rllmuk guild

Seems to be a lot of mukkers burning out at the moment.

It's just there's too much else to play at the mo, and I'm starting an OU course which will dominate my time.

Without getting too emo, I'm at a point where somethings in my life need to change and WoW is one of them. It's fortuante it's not a forced change really. I've tried forcing myself to quit before and it's never worked.

It does seem like a bit more than the usual ebb and flow of people feeling motivated or unmotivated.

From a personal viewpoint, I probably am quite achievement focussed...which previously was the goal to beat all Karazhan has to offer. I still really look forward to proper Kara nights and would love to finally make a full clear in one week.

Must admit though the rest of the time I log on and wonder what to do with myself.

Ideally I want to chalk off the following in-game goals:

Cut my teeth at five man arena.

Beat all the five man instances in heroic.

Form a tight little team of lowbie alts to level together...mostly in dungeons (for one reason or another the old Team Deadmines hasn't really gotten off the ground).

Make the engineering flying mount! Gief biplane plx.

However, three of four of those require quite a bit of organising and the fourth isn’t even implemented yet. Then there's the small matter of my iffy connection....

I dont think we need panic just yet. Muk has been an awful lot busier in the last 3 or 4 months than it ever was before. People come & people go, but Muk will prevail!

I think the motivation for kara has dropped slightly as some of us have now killed all the bosses. Having said that, the boss fights in kara are by far the most fun thing I've done. I'm looking forward to getting back in there with Zurgy on thursday. Outside of instances though I struggle with motivation to do stuff with Zurg (hence the army of alts). Zul'Aman will be great, I cant wait to go into somewhere like kara but blind, working out how to kill things in our own way rather than reading about them first. Most of the time I log in now is to talk rubbish to people though. Thats the best bit of Muk for me, the game is something to do while chatting with you lot.

As for the lowbie instance team I'm still keen to do that. I have a 20 priest & hunter, a warrior fast approaching 20 as well as my druid who's nearly 40.

Definately up for lowbie instance fun!

Most of my alts are between 20 and 27 so thats always good. Thinking of giving Starr a break for a week or so to let some rested build up

Really enjoy my priest and have just respecced shadow instead of holy for faster levelly goodness - til i hit about 40 and then going to go back to holy

Yeah, I think this is the key. All guilds go through this from time to time. People take breaks, find that it becomes a bit more permanent, fairs fair really. There's always a space if anyone wants to return.

I think that's me done for a bit. Again. Yes, yes, I know I say this every 4 weeks or so but I've been logging in, fannying about for 10 minutes and logging out. I just can't be arsed to level alts and that. Factor in some whopping console releases and you have me leaving the PC alone for a bit. I'll be logging on tonight to sort some odds out but after midnight my subs run out. I'll be back at some point no doubt

Booooo, hope to see you on Live mate.

Mortte, make sure you make it to the ramsden home this saturday, I will not accept any excuses that you cannot make it on the Saturday. If not then, Friday pls! It'll be ace.

Fridge is FULL of cider.

Ya know, I must just come and keep you young un's company :D

I'm kind of bored of WoW at the minute, and I have a ridiculously large amount of work to do, so I probably won't be back on again until ZA is live, but honestly I'm tempted to call it a day, WoW just isn't fun anymore.

Booooo again

I am now an official resident of Ravenholdt. So you can expect a guild invite request some time soon from grokzhul. Mighty Orc Shaman*

*I am only level 60 and a resto shaman. I am AMAZING though*

*in real life, I am rubbish at the game.

You betcha, do the /who muk thing and give someone a /w.

Just wanted to say, you guys are awesome. I'm crap at WoW, the slowest leveller in the history of the game (I think the only active Muk chars of a lower level than Sukk are alts ), and it really doesn't matter, because I have a great time wandering around, getting my arse kicked by random mobs, and talking about shit in /gchat.

1. Cast EarthShield on the main tank (I use water shield on myself)

2. Target a member of the party

3. Press Chain heal

4. Repeat ad infinitum.

Its handy to put up 3 lvl 1 heals on the main tank sometimes to build up Healing way to increase your next big direct heal.

Natures swiftness is absolutely amazing too to save someone (usually yourself) instantly.

I'm no shaman expert but as a slightly random tip, if your tank struggles to keep agro you can try dropping a windfury totem as it'll help his rage generation and give him some free bonus threat (for warriors anyways). Only works in low rage situations though. If he's got lots of rage he'll be heroic striking everything and sadly will no longer get any benifit fom windfury. :)

CARTOGRAPHER HELP

Since the last patch Cartographer acts weird. Some addons - like the valuable Quest Objectives - seems to work when they want to. Well, there is a solution to get Quest Objectives to work (well, it is still a bot borked but it works most of the time).

First, Quest Objectives shows Quest Objectives on your map. If the quest text tells you 'to go south and kill the dwarves' Quest Objectives show icons on your map where you need to go. So instead of alt+tabbing to wowhead to look for coords you press M, check the map and see the icons. Easy ^_^ This way you can plan a route around the whole area and get multiple quests done in one run. Quest Objectives gathers information about quest done by Guildies. If a Guildie has done the quest you can request that information (location of mobs to kill, items you need to pick up etc) to show on your map.

Let's say you have Cartographer + Quest + Quest Objectives installed. Download the following 2 *.lua: Cartographer Quest and Cartographer Questobjectives. Unzip and place em in World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Name\SavedVariables by overwriting the old ones (or back up the old ones).

These two files have (almost) every single Quest in Azeroth and Outland. Whenever you pick a quest up and track it, the Quest Objectives show up on your map \o/

Mind, the Quest Objectives file is quite large and takes up 15 MB in the game itself.

I had great fun last night, if anyone has any healing tips, addon recommendations or resto shammy macros I'd be interested?

Try Healbot - it's really useful for instances as it picks the most appropriate healy spell to use based on how damaged they are and how much mana you have left

v v v v useful - hence why i seem to just be using healy characters these days (druid/priest/shamn/pally)

I've farmed myself the plans for Ragesteel shoulders, can't actually make them yet though. Still, another few points (so rather a lot of expensive eternium - must make myself some more cash) and they shall be mine. Only tricky bit is they need 2 Scroll of strength V's to make them. If anyone happens to randomly come across some I'd appreciate them, I may even pay - i expect their value has shot up recently thanks to there finally being decent plate shoulders that require them.
