Someone explain guns to me. Do you lose them all if you fail a mission? I spent a few thousand on a shotgun and some uzi type gun, but when I died and respawned the guns were ... gone. And now I can't afford to buy them again. What's with that?

They are only lost if you are arrested.

If you fail a mission, you only loose your weapons if you haven't saved, and turn off the machine or whatever.

In which case you should have the same amount of cash as before you bought them.

They turn up in a mission or not in a mission. You can phone them anyway.

Thats probably another way to solve some missions actually - have a cop standing by when things kick off - or use the fire engine to block an exit.

Must try that in the morning.

Yes they disappear when you have no ammo BUT once unlocked you can buy this from the ammo shops.

I've never run out so i'm, not sure if you have to pay for the gun actually. Thats a Fair point.

Once you pick up the coke you can just leg it outside and jump over the side into the water. There'll be a speedboat down there ready for you to floor it!

after killing Roman you phone Mallorie and tell her he's dead, so I'm not sure if you need to save him?

I saved him and he just carries on being available on the phone etc. I like that if you don't save him it doesn't really matter if that's the case

Well for me its effectively ammo since i never run out of bullets.

I usually stock up first. Esp. with the AK.

You earn most of the weapons in one hit (well before the hit actually - LOL!) - but they're unlocked if you find them in the city as well.

Do you have either of those weapons? I've only been into a shop once (one on the second island) since that introduction visit. Guns I didn't have were available to buy. Guns I already had offered the ammo instead of the actual gun.

You can't actually buy them or the ammo though unless you've found them or earned them mid-mission.

Roman's featured in one of the endings. So if you can let him die, you'll obviously get a different outcome.

I'm guessing its more powerful and has a faster reload time. The shotgun also has a "combat" variant.

Also, where the hell is the last bridge you have to fly under to get the Under the Radar achievement? I thought it was the one in Middle Park, but that doesn't seem to be the case (or I've somehow havent triggered it).

My eyes now hurt after playing this all day on SP & MP. I am just staggered by the amount of work and artistry put into this game. Truly landmark.

Had some great gun battles today which really show off the euphoria animation. Much more visceral and enjoyable than the carnival shootout that was Uncharted.
