Is there actually more clothes shops and stuff that are in the game than appear on the map? Not really a decent selection of clothes to choose from so far.

Also, what is the difference between killing people and choosing to save them? I've only saved one so far and nothing's really happened. Is it only for those of you who feel guilty? (I normally never miss a chance to kill someone but thought it'd be nice to see what happens.)

I dunno, I was playing violent games and watching porn and Scarface and shit at age 14 and I'm not a mental nutter who's goes around battering people or anything.

It's all a question of maturity really.

Explains your furum style i guess :(

I just think GTA4 is very over the top on the ol violence, sex, drugs and language - i cant think of many games that are as graphic as this. As a rule i wouldnt have too much of an issue with age/ratings but this one even shocks the wife a bit !

I duno about a 14 year old playing it. On the one hand i must have been 14 when i played the original GTA and carmageddon. Whilst rather basic graphically they both feature either drugs or bad language or killing people by running them over with their guts flying about. Would you let a 14 year old watch robocop or the terminator? Most 14 year olds have probably seen these 18 rated films before.

I'm amazed at my own crapness sometimes. Early on in the game, you get to do some jobs for

Little Jacob. Picking up stuff and delivering it. I've honestly not managed to do the first one yet. The car is so fucking slow, and the timeframe to do it in, so incredibly tight. I'm not even sure where I should be going to, even with a marker on the map. It looks like it's under the bridge. But I always run out of fucking time, just before I get there! Isn't LJ the guy who provides you with guns on tap? Won't I have to do his delivery missions to earn enough respect? Or can I just keep shooting pool and playing darts with him and do it that way?

Which game are YOU playing?!

I was watching Predator and Terminator and all that when I was about 9. Just one of the many benefits of having an elder brother.

See in some ways I think that even if kids do watch that sort of stuff/get into that sort of stuff themselves - it doesn't mean you shouldn't ban it as a parent.

You can't watch em all the time, but allowing them material that is not meant for them means you condoning it. As a parent you should not be seen to be doing that. It's sending out the wrong message.

I was talking about Carmageddon

Did anyone play the demo of the game that was on PC Gamer or summat. I'm sure it ran better than the full game and had an awesome sound sample when you hit/drove near the old people - "I was in the war!!".

I'm not saying all kids should be allowed to play violent videogames and watch porn and have an HD TV on their bedroom ceilings playing Scarface 24 hours a day. My Dad obviously went a bit far there.

Just use your own discretion as a parent. If you think your kid is mature enough to watch a violent film or play a violent game, then go for it.

You don't have to do the delivery missions. I've not done any yet. I did intend to do some sometime, but just didn't get around to it. But I still got his "ability."

Yeah. That demo was sweet, the car physics made it really fun. One of the greatest demos, for sure.

Thank God! Looks like I'll be calling him up for a few darts 'n' beer sessions then.

Massive meh. My GTA won't load any more. Just sits at the Loading screen, loading the "Search and Delete" mission.

I guess I'll try all that crap that Rockstar suggested to get around the PS3 issues the other day, otherwise I'll need to start from scratch. Joy.

God the TV is great in this game. I just finished completing a mission called 'Destruction for Beginners' and then took Roman out for some drinks before saving (two seperate times just to be safe). I've now just stuck the TV on and sat down (with a beer) and have been sat watching it for about 20 minutes, I guarantee there are going to be loads of people who don't even bother watching this stuff.

It's great!

'Midget Mermaids' lol.

Dude. Might be that youre connected to the PS3 network thing. People say unplugging it sorts it?

My young cousin is playing it. He is 15 at the end of this month. he is a level headed kid and although not really "street-wise" he is sensible and playing these games hasn't turned him into some anti-social yob. It's a question of maturity as has been said.

He said pretty much every lad in his class is playing it.

I usually end up on top of the tunnel, so just drive over the edge and reverse to the person I'm delivering to.

I love you so much it hurts. Well, it hurts you. Well, it will, when I track you down and express my love in the only way a man of my stature can.

But yeah, that fixed it. Thank you!

SONYLOL etc.

Sheet happens.

I suspect the Sony online service couldnt cope with it all. May not be R*'s fault at all, this.

It would be nice to get some word on why it's happening.

But then look at XBL over Xmas!

Yeah but i suspect the cow had problems playing violent videogames so didn't really understand.

Another story, he was once walking to his friends house through this field with a bag of 8 stellas in his hand and he heard like an ominous rumbling sound behind him. He turned around and this massive horse was running towards him. He managed to run and vaulted over a fence, but as he vaulted, the horse bit him on the arse.

He turned around and smashed the horse in the face with the bag of stellas.

Another time, he was drinking in a local pub and he fell in the urinal and couldn't get out for about 20 seconds.

:(

Cheers. Even though I know I don't have to do it, to unlock his ability, something inside me still wants to make that bloody delivery!

It does.

Obviously Rockstar are havin some issue with the online side of things at the moment.

Just log out of PSN before you start the game and everything will work fine.
