I automatically ignored it.

It's not the real internet!

Everyone having trouble seeing in front of them when driving, just push up a little on the right stick to see over things (Could be press down if you don't have it inverted like me). I do it all the time and it's automatic for me now.

Oh, and 'Bummed in the Gob', that's amazing!

No arrests in almost 31 hours of play?

Wow.

There's no point in letting yourself be arrested. If you run for it, you might get away. If you die, you just respawn at the hospital and get to keep all your guns.

I took a taxi back to the house where Roman was being held. I didn't appreciate being charged $20. I shot the cabbie in the face and stole his money. This makes me an awful person.

Yes yes it does, how do you get a yellow cab to pick you up never managed to hail one yet.

Very true, but still, it's a pretty remarkable statistic, no?

I do seem to recall getting arrested a lot more in the older GTA games though - I think IV makes it a lot easier to avoid arrest.

Bummed in the Gob must be fake...it's not even an expression outside of rllmuk. But why the hell was this posted on Neogaf?

There's a great big reference to

Video Gaiden

somewhere, so it must be possible.

EDIT: Also, I've seen before it was on rllmuk, like NotBBC forums. I blame Miffed, personally.

Nothing new to report, but I just wanted to chime in and apologise for my trivial criticisms earlier. After surviving a 4 star police chase, watching some tv, doing a few vigilante missions and getting shitfaced with Roman i'm absolutely loving this.

Well, I suppose it could be, but I think that's reading into it a bit much :D

Perhaps it is! I want to find out if this 'bummed in the gob' is real now though... Top marks to Rockstar if it is :o

Epic police chase last night.

I only had two stars but, Christ, I couldn't shake them for ages.

In the end I had to launch my car on a ramp into the river, swim to a boat and speed off out of the search area. Ace!

I was in a 4 star police chase last night. I was speeding around all over the place but couldnt get enough distance between me and the cops. I almost made it out of their search area when i reached the dead end by Faustin's house so I thought fuck it, I'll just drive off the edge into the sea and keep swimming out of range. I managed to get out of the search area when i was suddenly surrounded by police boats who shot the fuck out of me. :o

So I'm on the interview mission, once you do the job how the hell do you escape? I tried shooting my way out, only for my 2 star warrent to goto 5 stars after so much cop killing. Epic, but tough as hell.

Stab him. People hear your gunshots so use a knife to kill him undetcted. Then break the window of his office, jump out and walk home. Playing a lot of Hitman helps

It's an integral part of GTA driving to be moving the camera constantly as you drive, imho - I do that automatically after spending so much time on the others. I can't imagine that it's a very enjoyable experience if you keep the camera static. It takes a little practice, but no more than driving itself.

Alternatively and I know a lot of people disagree with me and Tyler here, but the bonnet cam needs no extra control and gives you a full driving viewpoint. I used to prefer the classic GTA view but when the world is this detailed, driving with the bonnet cam just brings you closer to the detail and the world. Driving through times square with it was breathtaking.

But I don't see how you miss any of that with the third person cam. I drive through there with that and it's just as breathtaking.

With the bonnet cam you miss the wonderful car models get smashed up, the smoking tires, the smashing windows, the bullet holes etc etc.

I've never ever been able to use anything other than a 'behind the car' view, but in this, I struggle to resist the temptation of switching to cinematic cam. I crash loads but by crikey does it look sweet. :o
