I suppose being a bit disappointed in the game makes me a cunt in some of your eyes though :o

I agree on the handholding.

A recent mission had me having to track someone down from a photo given to me. Aha, I thought to myself, I'll steal a police car and check the database! "You need to steal a police car and check the database." Oh. Now I don't get to feel clever. :'(

If that's the price of making the game as utterly frustration free as it has been for me so far though, it's probably worth it.

And those constant little prompts along the bottom of the screen, even when it's for something you've done 10 times before. It's worse than most modern Nintendo games in that regard. Most missions I feel like I'm just following a handful of written instructions on the bottom of the screen telling me how to walk, scratch my arse, get in the car, get out of the car, walk into an arrow, shoot some bad guys....stuff that should just be relayed through characters speaking to you. And the missions have been so simple as to not even need such levels of handholding, it's all just drive from point A to point B, pick someone or something up, drive to point C, kill two gormless guys standing in an alleyway and then drive the person home.

I suppose being a bit disappointed in the game makes me a cunt in some of your eyes though :o

I've cut out 2/3 of your post as it's being needlessly fussy.

The bit i've quoted can be answered by HWDOAMCALLTAXISGATE earlier in the thread.

The game is awesome! People will always want more freedom but at the end of the day the game is about stealing cars, killing tramps and shaking hoes, not Shenmue 3.

Quick question guys, I noticed earlier there was no score thing for doing tricks? like in GTA3/VC when you went off a huge ramp and did flips and stuff. Or is there an option/unlock for it maybe?

I did a stunt but fucked it up, somekind of score prompt did appear but was told I failed :o

Yellow residents space outside can save as many cars as you can fit in it. However ONLY when you save on a bed. Auto save doesn't do it.

Just remember as well they aren't static just because you have them parked there. I had two motorbikes parked outside the Bohan safehouse and the stupid police were chasing after someone, skidded to a stop which knocked one of them out of the yellow zone, and then carried on.

Ross was playing it yesterday and came back to the parking spot to find someone had rammed into the car that he had parked there which knocked it all the way out of the space and saved the shitty one in it instead whilst someone nicked the nice one that was in there.

I think R* have handled it well. It's not too heavy handed compared to the likes of Nintendo, but it has to be done on a title of this magnitude.

One example is the myroom pages. You read one of them, and it doesnt seem right, you figure out whats wrong and the next paragragh blatently spells it out for all the school kids. :o

right.

or maybe we could just appreciate two huge games doing well at the same time

or maybe we could all have a sense of humor?

I turned into a spaz-hands the first time I had to go up one. But that's because of the old 'no insta-180-degree-turn' type thing going on.

Is there a way of turning on the GPS route thing as default (where applicable) for online? Quite a few times I've ended up driving round in circles with a prossie and/or in a stolen car and/or hunting down targets, as I've got some bad dudes right on my tail and don't have time to set it manually.

I still can't corner very well either. I've taken to holding the brake down on the straight way before the corner, maybe some handbrake too, then taking the corner slowly. I noticed that counter-steering helps to stop handbrake spins, but it's so hard to time them correctly. It's probably more realistic than it's ever been in a GTA, but it's a fair bit less forgiving.

OK, what the FUCK am I meant to do for the

'logging on' mission (internet cafe)?

I'm told to

log onto the internet for no apparent reason. I do this, read a few shit things, log out and I'm simply told to log on as if I've never done anything. Thus I can't complete the mission and have no option but suicide.

How do I even progress the game given this situation???

Someone mentioned that level of detail earlier and its got to be said its frankly amazing.

I mean, you can shoot shit like burgers and even the lids of those water car stoppers, any kind of light, bags - and yet you can fly to the highest point and it just looks gob smacking fantastic.

And then you see the world so differently from each of the vehicles as they each have their own access areas.

Woo, 2 more sleeps until I can play this. I've gone from 'couldn't be arsed as I was too busy and had forgotten about it anyway plus it'll probably be shit' right up to 'I NEED to play ASAP'!

Everyone's probably got a copy now but the nearest Argos to my work (Rhyl) still has 360 versions in.

green box above the red one iirc, says something like "reply to this to activate email account".

tbh, i had spent about 10 minutes reading websites and signing up to date loads of birds before wondering what i was supposed to do.

Bit of a spoiler question to do with the strip club mission for D.

It seems very Hitman, but is it actually possible to do it all covertly? I can do the first hit on the guy counting the money using my baseball bat, but after that it always ends up a shoot out. Just answer yes, if it can be done, I dont want to know how, yet.

Nothing new to report, but I just wanted to chime in and apologise for my trivial criticisms earlier. After surviving a 4 star police chase, watching some tv, doing a few vigilante missions and getting shitfaced with Roman i'm absolutely loving this.

Glad you came round to it.

Wait till you get to the 2nd internet mission :D

I'm on 20% complete after 16hrs. I'm going slowly but it's going to end one day. Maybe DLC is more useful than I first thought :(

Just spotted this on neogaf, check out the addiction level. :o
