Was always a big fan of the Privateer games (far moreso than the normal Wing Commander games) so this could be just my cup of tea.

Now, just need to brush off my old joystick

I loved Privateer, but it didn't half have some appalling enemy scaling in it - sometimes saving up to buy a nice new gun could see you getting blown to bits within seconds when you poked your nose outside rather than pwning everyone - bit demoralising...

I was worried about how the graphics would be but the game is so great that I don't care. I've uppgraded my n00b ships and I'm just a few k's away from getting a better one.

That's right, the game gets significantly harder because buying better equipment makes me personally shitter.

When I fired this up, I got a real nostalgic shiver as the music started, fantastic!

Its not all peaches and cream for me either though. I've been forced to load saved games often. But I've come to the conclusion that there are certain ships I wont do battle with. Or to be more precise, ships that are bigger than my own.

One example

Dralthi is an easy kill. I kill those all the time.

Gothri's are mean. They have hard shields and much firepower. Whenever I see them I use my afterburner

and slalom the hell out of there.
