Fable 2

I'm excited about this game, really enjoyed the first. I'm trying to keep my expectations fairly low though. Theres all this talk of a world of people reacting to you in an appropriate fashion. (All that business about spouses scolding you and your children greeting you enthusiastically), but I doubt that it will amount to little more than a few variations of pre-determined voice samples/animations.

I'd like to see the sort of breadth of interaction you see in the Sims when it comes to NPCs you supposedly have a deeper relationship with rather than a single interact with character option. I suspect this is too complex a system to have running along in a title that will already be dipping its fingers in a lot of pies.

Actually, Peter Moleyneaux talks shit. He's like the girl who says she's going to come home with you and do loads of sexual things. Only she brings all her mates back who trash your flat. You sit in your room sobbing while she fucks someone else loudly in the next room.

Jesus christ! Is it impossible for you to see that some peoople think being able to do this is an awesome feature? And that other guy was like "a feature no one will use" - hyperultramega :P

Hanzo! Let's us go and tear a path through this game, leaving widows and orphans in our wake

We get to be EVIL. It's genius, not 'crazy' or 'pointless'. Choice is good, remember? :)

Yeah only I don't want anyone being evil in my game that I paid for and invested a load of time into.

I thought i could see some shadows :P

Then again I don't have my contacts in. :)

Looking at the preview The Bag posted they do indeed have shadows. Just couldn't see any in the other pictures posted here.

Won't it feel constrictive after Oblivion? I really liked the first one, but it was a product of its era.

Even if it does it will feel less constrictive than any other RPG after Oblivion, especially if you compare it to the other mega (and laughably disappointing) hit Mass Effect. Besides, don't forget that Fable 2 does stuff that Oblivion doesn't, so I expect Oblivion to feel constrictive as well in comparison to Fable 2.

I would actually class fable and oblivion as different genres anyway. Oblivion is meant to be the mass, live your everyday life in a large yet quite undetailed world with infinite things to do, whereas fable was more restrictive, more detailed and a bit more focus on getting the smaller things right.

I'll answer this, finally! I didn't mean Whisper. There's an unnamed young girl around during the fire. From memory, your sister is already kidnapped when you start playing? It just felt like a Nintendo set-up, where you'd meet her again as an adult and she'd recognise you.

You mean the girl that's lost her teddy?

The one that comes up and talks to you the first time you enter Oakvale as an adult.

"This holiday" usually is november right? I would think that since Banjo and Gears 2 (both MGS published) are out in november, this might come out earlier so they're spread out a bit.

They would try to hit Thanksgiving in the US, as games there sell loads. I think more than at Xmas maybe?

No surprise though, delayed lolonhead!11
