Steam IS wonderful.

It's improved so, SO much since it was first unleashed unto the interweb.

I haven't used it in the past few weeks though... Unless anything has changed, all they need now is to get Friends working

Friends never worked, it was always derivative crowd pleasing shit. A one note show designed to make you feel as if you had something in common with the overpaid stars, sell dvds, and never deviate from the 'say one thing, do the opposite' template of american sitcoms.

So aye, friends is broken.

Have you tried it recently? It's been working fine for me lately. (Er, except for that maintenance).

I think he was just talking about the sit-com. Or maybe both. :)

Anyway, the Friends Beta is indeed rock-solid, at long fucking last. You can finally use it across games too, unlike back in the day when it did work but required you to constantly sign in and out when joining various servers or returning to the Steam front-end.
