Brain Age - Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day - your thoughts

really enjoying this - got my brain age down to 30, which, being my *actual* age is quite nice. I haven't had a problem with the voice recognition, and I'm glaswegian - maybe the harsher tones makes it easier to recognise. Handwriting for the word memory task can be a bit flaky - but I still managed to get about 14.

Well, Big Brain Academy is Dick Tracy as I type, so it should be here by the weekend. I've almost done a full two months of Brain Age, playing every day, and haven't had a score worse than 26 in more than 5 weeks.

Haven't done all the sudoku yet though - only 23% through that.

I've got no problems with the voice recognition part. It picks up my dutch-english accent perfectly.

I've started with a brain-age of 75 and i'm already down to 46, yay me.

Sudoku is a nice extra as well.

Not surprising to me. I work in Voice recognition (It wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo use tech I work on since it's ARM 7/( processor compatible) and we've found that dutch accents pretty much work perfectly when it comes to UK English.

I've had this for a while now. It's kind of fun. Although I've tended to steer away from the voice-related challenge.

I've been doing it daily for about a month and a half, and my brain age (according to the good doctor) is now at 20. Whether that's true, is perhaps open to debate, perhaps I'm just good at doing the tests. However - my ability in the word memorising component is definitely improving.

One small tip: Don't play this before 'trying' to go to sleep. I tried to wrestle my brain age down by repeatedly doing the training one evening - I then spent most of the night wide awake.

It's over-priced here though. I bought the US version in Japan for less that £20.

Not me, but that's not to say I haven't found the game to be a whole heap of fun. Big Brain Academy's on its way to me now, and that's supposed to be even more fun.
