Not impressed, was really looking forward to this as well. Doesnt look that great and the frame rate seems to be a mess.

So, basically, it's the exact same build they showed at the big 360 events leading up to launch?

BODY HARVEST-EY GOODNESS!

For me (Playing in SD here) the graphics just seem to be messy, too many effects going on and a framerate that is only a little better than need for speed most wanted. Its not it runs really slowly it doesnt it just seems to judder a lot. I really hope this is a very early build.

I do quite like the handling though, there is definately potential here if the frame rate is sorted.

Hopefully that's what the delay til September is for.

Really hope so, its the first game to capture the feeling of Need for Speed on the 3DO, you can see the potential but its so rough around the edges at the moment. I fear September isnt long enough, unless this demo is an old build.

Im quite impressed by it, only had a couple of races in the Elise (;)) so far, and still getting used to the handling, but I particularly like the way you can cut corners as long as you don't hit bushes/lamp posts, and can see it being great fun on live when its had a bit more work. Starting races by flashing your lights at someone going past then setting a couple of waypoints is quality too.

The handling does seem a lot better than it looked in the old demos. It feels nicely weighty, but there's something slightly missing that I can't put my finger on...

Your ability to look past any minor flaw and just enjoy a game?

.::: Peachy. I'm at 94% and XBL simply tells me it's unable to download it. I may try at a different time.

This is spelling D-O-O-M for any other truly big thing they might throw onto XBL come the conference.

[edit] ANGER!!!!

It's downloading again but I'm back at 4%!? WTH is going on here!?

Just like the night that the FIFA and Top Spin 2 demos came out, marketplace just doesn't work for me. ;)

Handling is a big thing in a driving game, I think you'll fucking find.

So, yeah, I've played a bit more. PGR3 can rest easy, that's for fucking sure.

I've had that before. It might jump back to somewhere near 94%.

I thought it was all right, though I couldn't keep the bloody thing on the road. And the framerate is infinitely better than the retail version of NFS:MW in 720p.

Pity it couldn't connect to the Test Drive Unlimited server.

I also hate demos that time out and unless a game's really, really special I won't buy it if the demo does that.
