The best thing about this is game is that it's in some places very different to GTA, especially when messing aroud. There's so much new stuff to try out with the physics and different AR (artificial retardness). And you don't die as soon as an explosion is near as in GTA. Got a huge pileup earlier, I drove over it and got stuck on top of police car. Cue more police coming and they all started shooting while my car couldn't move as its wheel were spinning in nothing but thin air. Then due to crashing and shooting, one of the police cars catch fire, resulting in explosions which propel my car into the air and I drove off with my car in a barely recognisable heap of metal.

The 360 doesn't support HDMI. You're playing via component if you are running 1080i.

Fair do's - I have no idea, like I say. When I first got it, I had it running at 720p through whatever you can buy. Then the fella got me this nifty little thing off eBay - I plugged it all in, and now it runs at 1080i. Have no idea what it is though.

Lovin it so far! I especially like that when you put a car in your garage its there every time you return even if you drive it off and blow it up, and so when you enter your garage you have a choice of every car you've ever stored, brilliant!

The best thing about the game for me is the combat, the punching/kicking feels a lot more controlled than GTA and obviously the gun fights are a thousand times better too.

I love walking round with one of your crew as well, they do asome funny shit! I was randomly shooting peoples tires as they drove past earlier and as one car pulled up to a junction where I was standing, I hit one of the tires and my homie then ran over, pulled the woman out of the car and shot her several times while she was on the floor... Bit harsh really, I was only having a little fun!

Ok, I'm on the verge of buying this despite every fibre of my being telling me this is a shit game. I enjoyed the demo, but is it just like that for the rest of the game? I've ordered Just Cause too you see and that has LOADS of vehicles and different things to try.

Multiplayer sounds a bit shit, is that the case?

Oh, and as stupid as the "Yo yo yo" hip hop stuff is it doesn't bother me at all, unless it gets REALLY bad.

Get it, play it through, then come next friday trade it in for Dead Rising, thats what I'm doing.

Too late, Play-Asia are out of stock. Dead Rising is out next week? Wohooo. I made a bunch of pre-orders one drunken night for pretty much every game I want, but I didn't check the release dates so I get that added surprise when I get home :lol:

It isn't a shit game. It just doesn't have the character of GTA. It is incredibly fun to play, mind.

Anyone finished the mission where you have to go and blow up that record company? On the way to driving around the corner to the garage to get the car fitted with explosives, I got followed by two cops, who bulldozed me into the garage, and then got crushed completely amid mass explosions as the garage door came down on them.

I just saw an advert for this. Hahahahah. It looks like - no exaggeration - GTA:SA in hi-def. Only with less texture detail.

Yeah, and it lacks the humour, and the car handling isn't as good. The problem is, it addresses loads of issues that GTA has had for a long time, and therefore evens the playing field for itself. It's not GTA, but it's very playable, and doesn't annoy where GTA does. If Rockstar takes note of this game, GTA4 should be amazing.

Has anyone come across the big JCB type vehicle yet? A collision with another car just completely obliterates them! I was driving across one of the bridges just ploughing (literally...) through all the traffic, explosions everywhere, cars being tossed all over the screen, then one car landed on top of the JCB and set me on fire, which then set the JCB on fire, and cue massive explosion... Such genius randomness!

Also driving along the railway line in a 3-wheel police dispatch car trying to derail trains, throwing grenades at the gathering crowds underneath!

I've had so many laugh out loud moments so far, one of my house mates sat and watch me play for about 5 hours yesterday just requesting stupid things for me to do, I love this game!

i never could get into the GTA's because the control is so poor.

the idea was there but rockstar didn't a have a fucking clue when it came to controling your charcater on foot. i found it so frustrating i gave up on all of them after a few hours play.

saint's row might not do much that's new but atleast it does it well. its like GTA but good.

I have to agree with the people saying that they like it it but know they shouldn't. Its like Need For Speed: Underground for me. A guilty pleasure. I know I should be playing something with a bit more class, but I just can't help enjoying it.

I'm struggling a bit with the Hitman missions though. How are you meant to find the mark once you are in the right area? :)

So how long to cars stay around in the full version? Or is it like the demo- you turn your back for 2 seconds and they all disappear?

Just like the demo really. I think I have seen more cars on screen at one time though. Might just have been a busy bit of town.

They seem to stay around longer but it definitely varies. There is certainly a lot more traffic around in the retail game.

Okay, so it is probably me being thick but how do you find the people you need to kill in the Hitman missions? Is it just a case of searching their area until you spot them as I can't see any marker on the map.

The Insurance missions are inspired.

I've spent most of the weekend playing it, which is unheard of these days. Some of the missions are so friggin frustrating, especially when you get picked off right at the very end and its taken you about twenty minutes to get that far :)

I know a number of people are saying the humour is a bit forced compared to GTA, but it's consistently had me chuckling away to myself, great stuff.

Played this 7 hours straight today and whisper it...i find this more entertaining than GTA the car handling is better the gun battles are much, much better the storyline is very interesting and is hinting at a very complex tale.

The physics are amazing, insurance fraud is ace and I like watching the NPC’s just going about there business today i saw one of them bend down and do his shoelaces which was unexpected. And that crazy dreadlocked white guy drug dealer is a hoot. :)

Though some of the language has every got me gasping that line about that woman sucking cock and then wiping her mouth had me agape.

Frame rate is solid and I haven’t had a hint of slowdown this will be a word of mouth success I can see quite a few people buying 360’s just to play this game.

The game is also much bigger than I thought am only 13% through this game is going to take a while to complete properly.

I have been playing it for much of the day and it just gets better and better. Even missions like Snatch are great fun when you get onto the harder levels. The explosions on this game rock too.

GTA is a mess to control. why can't rockstar get their heads around that?

much prefer it to GTA myself.
