It's brilliant, they cocked the sound up during the guy who was bitching about the game.

The game should be banned because it goes further than other violent games and allows you to go with prostitutes, drink, drive and take drugs.

Apparently it was creating outrage on the internet long before release. I'm sure that was more about the shitty frame rate though.

Been enjoying it myself. It's a quality game that is easy to hate because, lets face it, it's a blatant rip-off, but it is also bloody addictive and well put together stuff. Playing last night I was like 'one more mission' for about an hour and a half.

Weapon aiming is soooo much better than any other GTA style game though. I love the sniper rifle in this... that's gonna be deadly online.

Not really sure if its worth the 50 quid but now that play asia are selling it for 22 quid I might buy it. Is it worth that ammount?

Have you tried the demo - that should give you an idea. I paid £40 and I am perfectly happy with it. Looking forward to trying it out online too.

One thing that did alarm me was the incredible amount of screen tearing (the worst I have EVER seen) and slowdown – I crashed a bulldozer into a wall and the game slowed down to about 2fps.

Again, this didn't happen to me in HD, which is surprising - you'd think there would be more slowdown. It glides by quite quickly.

I like it. I've played a little of it (just the first 2 missions and generally messing around), and it really comes close to the GTA in gameplay while substantially improving it in a lot of area's too (mainly the aiming).

Generally it looks pretty nice, but not brilliant. The graphics are crisp and detailed compared to GTA's muddy looks though. The framerate and tearing are appalling, I do really hope GTA4 will improve in this regard.

Coming from GTA:San Andreas this feels more like coming home than I expected a non-GTA being capable of. Then again, with only about an hour and a half in its too early to say if it will still be like that further down the road.

Having played the demo, I'd say it's worth that amount. Thanks for the heads up by the way. I think I'm going to order it from there. £22 for a brand new 360 game is not to be sniffed at.

Just been playing and Ned's Atomic Dustbin came on Rock FM - I thought it was developed in America? Whatever. I now officially love this fucking game.

Erm, I'm no expert at this, but I'm playing through HDMI. I think. My 360 is set to 1080i, but I have no idea what Saints Row is actually running in. Whatever the case, it runs pretty smoothly for me. Smoother than GTA III or Parallel Lines, anyway. As it should.

The 360 doesn't support HDMI. You're playing via component if you are running 1080i.

Well you'd think they'd get it right on the technical side... the 360 isn't exactly unpowerful.

Is it true that the island/s are smaller than GTA's, and that you can't fly planes or drive boats???

I believe it is about the same size as Vice City and yes, there are no boats or planes.
