E3 build. If the problems were fixed in the final version and the multiplayer is as amazing as all the people who've played it claim then it should be a worthwhile diversion till the next big thing. Which unfortuantly for Saints Row is one week later.

I'm not sure that pre-ordering Saints Row or TT:U is very wise until other people have wasted their money first is a good idea though. Still if he enjoys them then why should anyone else care.

I had some fun with the character creation screen and also surprisingly good fun running down people I should of been shooting and kicking anything which isn't nailed down. It's a pity the script seems more novelty than believable. Motherfucker.

If your character is getting out the opposite side of the car then you're parked too close. You have to park surprisingly far away.

It's quite picky on how close you need to get the car to the red 'wall'. There needs to be a bit of a gap else he can't get out at all, too far and he won't cross through (obviously). That said, not sure it's worth the effort just for a gun.

It's well worth it for the AK. Get your police and gang meters high before you go over and you can stand on the respawning weapon and lay waste to all the vehicles that pile towards you.

Did anyone else know you can buy spliffs, blunts, pipes and a bong in the demo ? Discovered this last night and then played in underwater vision for a while.

Just played the demo of this, and on the whole, found it to be quite a woeful experience.

I was somewhat taken aback upon entering a civilian car for the first time, when "my character" decided to shoot dead the female driver, before throwing her body to the ground and entering the car.

I'm somewhat out of touch with the whole GTA inspired "crime is cool" scene, but did anyone else find this to be one step further into the moral gutter than they wanted to go?

... or am I just getting old

Why oh why didn't they get some decent script and story writers to work on this? The game can be so fun to just mess around in, the driving is great and the physics add so much just like Half Life 2’s did to a FPS, and it's nice to have a city that is actually teeming with people and cars, but the missions and NPC's are just embarrassing, who are they aiming this at?

And no Robo_1 it's not just you that finds some of the carjacking animations tasteless, also the way your 'team mates' execute random civilians is just . I’m not a prude but if you want to have such malice things going on then you need to justify them with a good dramatic story or good humour.

I wasted opportunity, the only saving grace for this could be multiplayer if it doesn’t involve any of the story.

Hopefully Rockstar catch on to the benefit of physics if they hadn’t already for GTA4.

I thought that was okay. Fuck-all to it, it seemed, except killing HORDES.

But killing the hordes was pretty, and the combos looked pretty, so I enjoyed it a bit more.

I thought the same thing. I played the demo for 30mins last night. The game seems so similar to GTA you would expect some kind of plagerism legal action.

Graphically it was really disappointing too. It felt like the Xbox could handled it.

I turned it off and played Oblivion until 1am.

Playing through it again, it seems there's only cars in the demo. Just cars. It's immediately obvious that bikes are missing but I don't recall seeing any of the different types of vehicle that you get in the GTA games such as buses, garbage trucks etc.

Is it confirmed that there'll be no planes or helicopters in the game as well?

I tell you what I DID like. When you get out the car and you can still hear the car radio. GTA4 should use that cause I always hate it when you're really into a song but have to get out the car and it stops dead.
