I never really understood the Trulli hate

Because he is far and away the dullest driver ever. He's long past his sell by date. He had a shot at something in the Renault back when Flav was in charge and was just rubbish. He lucked into one win in Monaco in 2004 and it all went to his head. He's great ... in it's loosest possible sense ... at one lap qualifying. But he falls asleep during the racers and just sort of tools around minding his own business being dull and getting in the way.

He has spent the whole season so far whining about how the power steering isn't good enough in his car whilst Heikki just get's on with it and out races him time after time.

He is paying a whole shed load of cash to be in that team and it's holding them back because they have a professional team that needs to be driven and motivated. Chandhok is a solid driver who is motivated and talented, he needs this far far more than Trulli. who is only here because Gasgonye seems to have a massive hard on for the floppy haired Italian tit.

Amongst other things.

I think Chandhok has only got the gig this weekend to remind Trulli that he needs to cough up some more reddies for next season.

Um, What evidence do you have that Trulli is a paydriver, I've never seen any suggestion of the sort.

A conversation with ace sports car driver and all round nice chap Anthony Davidson.

But to explain, he's bringing a lot of personal sponsorship to the team, so whilst he is being payed by lotus to drive, they will be getting more than the cost of his pay in sponsorship money.

Daily Mail doing a 'will they won't they' regarding BBC dropping F1

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2017086/BBC-cuts-mean-test-card-returns-bosses-plan-repeats-prepare-axe-Formula-1.html

A corker of a comment here

I think it is frankly irresponsible for the BBC to continue broadcasting Formula One when the environment is in such a state. It really is an example of how quality has declined at this establishment. They should throw F1 in the bin and replace it with good honest programming like Gardening Today or repeats of shows like Morecambe & Wise and Dad's Army. That is a BBC we all want to see!

oh here's a great one

"return of the test card" Except the little girl will not be white!

This really should be in the DM thread, but oh well

I wonder who the hell that is, virtually everyone on that car is a Tune Group associate or an obvious team sponsor.

I know that probably 5 people watch practice 3, but I'm pretty chuffed Ant answered my question this morning!

Which question?

I watched P1 and P3. I love the banter between them.

the marriage proposal yesterday was hilarious, and worked :)

It was the one about braking distances in different cars. Yeah, I enjoy practice as much as the race because of the banter between Crofty and Ant, and it's so informative!

What a cock end. Are the wheel falling off Mclaren? EJ, I do like but sometimes I just can't watch when he's mid rant. He sometimes seems to miss the bigger picture altogether, just going for snappy soundbites worth of The Sun.

Oh & for Martin - doesn't shy away from difficult questions. I would be very surprised and disappointed if the media push to get him the sack came to fruition.

A lot of them are just so cringeworthy. He adds a bit of spice in the pre and post show, but he's pretty useless as an interviewer.

Fingers crossed for Karun. Would be pretty cool to see him outqualify Kov.
