 FP3 commentary talking about Le Mans and one of the problems is with the big field and trying to fill all the seats, especially when the cream of the crop of the drivers are in F1, a few sentences later and Karthikeyan is mentioned.

Which does raise the point, have the WEC coming and other manufactures talking about returning with LMP cars it could provide a real alternative to F1. Obviously the likes of Alonso aren't about to jump ship, love it if Ferrari developed an LMP1 car though, but midfield drivers those that are good but just not quite good enough to get in a top team, a chance to challenge for Le Mans and the WEC could be very appealing. I've wanted to see Davidson get another chance in F1, but would you trade a works drive at Peugeot where you can win things for a mid field F1 team.

The McNish accident, so so lucky it wasn't worse.

Only just switched back over to Eurosport 2, is this still the same safety car for McNish's crash? So surprised he walked away from that, but surely if they have to tip the cars back over for Gull Wings, they ought to be banned?

I wonder if, despite them doing they're job, if after Perez's crash in Monaco and McNish at LeMans today, they'll look at the way crash barriers collapse and how they react to a car hitting them in general.

Whats everyones problem with Pedro De La Rosa being put in the Sauber? It's not like he's some rookie, he's got Grand Prix experience, testing experience and drove for Sauber last year.

Er ... no.

Martin Whitmarsh was on the preshow and said that they were running a wet weather wing setup for quali because there was a 60% chance of rain for tomorrow. Whether it's typical F1 bullshit or not remains to be seen!
